You know I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this world had something akin to a super soldier serum. We don’t know much about Yor’s past so I think it’s possible.

But then again maybe she found out about her car-punting strength as a child and adjusted her future plans accordingly haha

I read back (and wow, that first chapter is still amazing, what a strong start). Her superhuman kick strength was first seen in chapter two and only seems to activate when she's protecting someone.

Blue Period is super excellent, even though it's an entirely different genre. The tl;dr of the story is a high school student discovers he really likes doing art, and the manga chronicles him developing his talent and trying to take the entrance exam to a prestigious art school, while meeting all sorts of quirky characters. With deep psychological introspection of many of those characters.

Blue Period is very good. Read Blue Period.
