muscles like this! posted:I'm kind of surprised that there hasn't been any big twists and this has been fairly straightforward (and really, really sad.) Tahani was kind of a twist. I'm guessing we'll not find out what's through the door and that's part of the point.

They should stop doing these types of things because you can't top Jay Leno trying to wrangle the cast of Cheers who were absolutely blasted out of their minds.

Aaaawwwwww ![]() That was cute and fun without being overly tearjerky which I was worried about. Still crying a little though. Good show ![]()

So 322 came up as michael's apt number, a # of bearimy's later, and once earlier. Anyone know what that's about? I assume it's not a refernce to the dota 2 meme.

Sub Rosa posted:Interesting to me is that there is video of the table read of the last lines of the last script out there, but I've never seen anyone post about it anywhere. So the table read I mentioned is in The Paley Center Salutes The Good Place, but the actual ending has absolutely nothing to do with what you see in the clip of that table read.

I thought it was pretty good but then after the Tahani non-door ending, seeing Chidi and Eleanor (and Jason the second time) go through seemed kinda lovely. Like "oh hey, there's other options besides cosmic suicide and mush brain... but we're not gonna explore that for everyone else"

But I also think it's fine that Eleanor chose to go through too.

We are each of us the drop that contains the ocean. And eventually every drop returns to the sea. The whole show is an allegory about life that just so happens to use the afterlife as its setting. Of course it ends with the characters passing into a place that nobody knows anything about.

Very Buddhist obviously but it’s sorta like everyone has a choice how they want to make the universe better.
