I've only seen the still pictures but that looks like one hell of a bike throw, maybe that influenced the judgment

Looks like a combination of very, very slight parallax in the broadcast view...like 1deg

+

Demi leaning toward the camera and Ruth leaning away...the leading edge of Demi's tire is closer to the camera plane than the paint directly beneath it while the opposite is true of Winder's tire.

+

The possibility that the painted line is misaligned

+

A slight possibility that the high-speed camera's own projected line is misaligned or even completely offset.

Countdown to riders arguing their little finger grip strength is more than sufficient to move the brake levers and their choice of fingers to use should be entirely a matter for them?

Doesn't matter, because you're resting on your forearms. The rule isn't "touch your handlebars with your fingers" it's "don't use your forearms"

Nah, that was an attempt to get around the rules by saying "hey I'm touching the hoods!". There's plenty of legal positions where the brakes aren't accessible (eg the tops)

Caja Rural consistently has the best kit each year I reckon. Their bikes aren't as nice as those dark green De-Rosa's they had a year or two ago but they aren't bad. The team Rally would look better if they had the logo in orange on a white band around them sort of like the old lotto ones.

I think the current Nippo Delko kit is the best of the pro teams this year. Blue rings on white with yellow logos looks great

Also ELB with the worst final 2km strategy ever. Attack Niewiadoma on a false flat and then refuse to work with her at all? Lol.
