from my perspective, the fixed supply of bitcoin is relevant mostly to its ability to be a currency, not its status as a speculative asset. like in a hypothetical world where bitcoin was used as a currency to finance projects and pay people it�s clearly unworkable because of its inherent deflation. at this point already 90% of the bitcoin supply has been distributed. if it�s used as a serious medium of exchange, what happens as it covers increasingly more economic activity? the �cost� of bitcoin goes higher and nobody would bother investing any.

but as a speculative asset the fixed supply is not unheard of. if you just want to hold it to sell it to someone else later to make a buck maybe it doesn�t matter as much.
