That final puzzle not even doing anything to change the plot is the biggest dick move. ![]()

Y'know, I have to wonder if Shin/Sou's odds of survival were 0% because any time he thinks he's in danger, he turns into a compulsorily-lying chronic backstabber.

Shin is not Sou no matter how he tried to be. Might not be bad to lose Keiji for the next part of the game. Take away Sarah's safety net.

There’s another game in a similar vein that I recommended to Hydro as a filler LP, but if they decide not to, I’ll start shouting its praises from the rooftop. (I’d LP it myself, but it’s a text heavy game and I already have two LPs going.)

Definitely play through the game before you decide. (Unless you’re doing a blind video LP or something.) Both because you should see what you’re getting into, there is a LOT of text, and also just so you can enjoy the game on your own.

Nankidai seems to be quite fond of doing little sketches of the characters; sometimes standalone, sometimes with a little joke. Making sure this doesn't fall into archives. No updates unfortunately, beyond that there might be a spot the difference mechanic in 3-1B.

Bear in mind the next release won't be the finale, 3-1 was split into 2 parts (3-1A was rushed out a bit to coincide with the release of the manga), it's the second part of 3-1 that should hopefully be coming out in January or February. 3-2 might well be another year off.

I'd rather it be delayed for years than rushed and unsatisfying, and I bet I'm not the only one who feels this way. (Especially if the finale is bloating up like these things tend to do.)

Bumping this so it doesn't end in archives. Still no confirmed release date for 3-1B; Nankidai is aiming to release something "people have long been waiting for" on the 28th, but is unsure whether he'll be able to make that date. There is a novelisation from Joes' POV due out this month:![]() If / When there's any kind of translation, I'll include it in the LP. I did this on my own because I HAD to, and it really does kind of puncture the drama just a bit. That said, "Your target is rear end in a top hat" is my new favorite euphemism. Also? Your Turn To Shine is an evil, evil game. I swear I've had less trouble avoiding starvation in Pathologic.

Update: 3-1B is more or less finished, it's just a matter of resolving a few lingering bugs now. A "demo" has been released for players to help Nankidai track down said lingering bugs. Once that's done, 3-1B will be officially released, hopefully a translation will shortly follow.

According to a Twitter post, VGPerson will be using the demo to get a head start on translation so it should be pretty quick...And, apparently they removed all instances of the phrase "among us" in the latest patch. Not going to verify that one, but I want to believe.

Art isn't pure and making minor changes to keep people from tittering during your extremely serious murder game is a good call.

You just know there'd be a fan translation with half the dialogue localized as "woah, that's sus" somewhere.

Official release is out - VGPerson confirmed that they started translation using the demo, however, the translation still might be a little way off, given the length of 3-1B.
