You know, as gross as Brooke's poo poo is, never once have I gotten the idea that either Edda or Amos loving hate their kids, or suffered because of them. Compare that to FOOB or One Big Happy.

You think Linda ever bothered cleaning the blood off the helmet? Also let's not forget how only three people know that Bull killed himself because his wife pretty much covered it up to get the insurance money. Buck, the only one who ever bothered spending time with Bull in the last few months, was never told about it.

You just know Amos is going to make them read all those letters about how much he enjoyed loving their mom. If that's not hating his kids, then I don't know what is.

Thanks for the cool new tag!

1. Edda sure seems thin for a lady who until a few days ago was pregnant with twins
2. Edda sure looks comfortable pulling her knees to her chest for a lady who just got a big-rear end incision across her abdomen a few days ago.

I'm not surprised. I'm not even disappointed. It's just a confirmation of what I already knew about Brooke's understanding of women.

Tinkersons may be the strip with the greatest improvement over time I've seen here. When it started out it painfully obviously followed a "how to make your own comic strip" formula but somewhere along the line Bettwy found his voice and a certain sense of world-weary humour. It's not groundbreaking art but within the realm of "suburban family life" strips it's doing its job well enough to stand out a little. Not being a thinly veiled vehicle for right-wing propaganda helps, too.
