They know their friends are having their honeymoon in that summer camp and screwing each other's brains out, right? Surely they're not about to barge in and try to hide the eggs while they're still there, right??? :psyduck:

Also these summer counselors deciding to spend their honeymoon in the same camp where they work and spend time with kids is just pretty skeevy.

I doubt Team Evans even bothered thinking about it that far. A good comic would've had Pru's girlfriend pop in by now, or show them going away. But this is Luann, so it's just a pretty transparent way for Team Evans to get rid of their only LGBTQ+ character.

Modesty Blaise: The Graphic Novel

In 1994, DC comics adapted Peter O'Donnell's first "Modesty Blaise" book into a graphic novel. It's 140+ pages long, so buckle in, folks!

I love this thread and all the comics in it, both the good ones (Bad Machinery, Wallace, Cul-de-Sac, etc) and the terrible ones (too many to count). But Modesty Blaise is just the best, like all around. Thank you so much for posting it. You're doing the Lord's work.

There is no way in hell Gladys Parker was straight.

And speaking of, didn't we just learn about the existence of Pru's girlfriend in New York like, six weeks ago? I feel like her valentine's card was the first/only time she was mentioned. It's extremely Evans to introduce the girlfriend just to remove a cast member.

No she'd been mentioned before vaguely. Not that it mattered because Pru was just a background character, with relevance like twice.

A girlfriend in NYC has also conveniently kept the Evans from having to actually show Pru engage with ladies romantically although if that's the benchmark every character would have to have a girlfriend or boyfriend in Canada.

Pru's been dating this broad since high school and they've reached fiance-level relationship status and this (and a card on Valentine's Day) is all we've seen of her. I don't know for sure how old Pru is supposed to be, but I've generally gotten the impression that she's a few years older than Luann, maybe the same age as Brad and Toni, so dating since high school is a longer time than it is for most of the rest of the cast.

All I'm saying is the Evanses portrayed the absolute least amount of lesbian dating they could manage with this relationship and even that turned out to be more than they could handle.

Say, does anybody remember Stuart and Miguel? I sure as hell don't!
