Two things about this. Firstly, :barf:. Secondly, one of you Americans please explain the difference between Jesus and Baby Jesus that apparently exists in your particular theology.

That's actually a complicated problem in Christian theology. If you want to take a crash course in it, skim the wikipedia article on the Trinity. Functionally for most American Christians, God = Jesus = Baby Jesus = Holy Spirit. They are all one and the same. As for which one you pray to varies moment by moment, and I tend to think of God as a big fatherly type, Jesus as a cool older brother, and don't bother with the other two. God smites, Jesus forgives.

Or at least, I'd think of them that way if I prayed to them. I don't - I'm an athiest, and all of my christian stuff comes from growing up with my religious parents.

Anyways this is the first time that I've seen Baby Jesus split away from Jesus. So let's sum this up with One Big Happy is a garbage comic and I hate it.

e: jesus gently caress i post and more old luann gets posted, this is cursed, I hate it, take it away!!

The old Luann is a little better I think. It's still dumb as hell but the jokes are more appropriate for the cast of characters.

That is indeed part of the joke: all we ever learn about the Joneses is that the McGinises constantly try - and fail - to emulate them.

Yes, exactly. Here we see Gene fantasizing about Mrs Jones.

Pretty sure it's that they are asking for a different depiction of the same figure to help.

Since there is a lot of art depicting baby Jesus in mangers, held by his mother Mary and such. While also having depictions of him in robes doing Jesusy things and also on a cross as he is most famously known.

e;
There's also the thing with The Father (God), the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Ghost (???) which is a whole other :can:

Neat, didn't know that.
Also, weirdly, these strips aren't in the collection I have. It jumps straight from Binkley's tutu strips to Bobbi's parents coming for a visit (which is a jump of a few weeks)
