I am frustrated that these boys completely missed that Eminem is trailer trash, the kind of poor white boy who lived the same hardship black folks in the ghetto suffered. It's not quite the same without the institutional racism, but it's about as close as you can get while being white.

The point isn't that Eminem didn't have it rough. But that he's controversial rhymes are hollow while Chuck D's controversial rhymes are controversial because he speak about politics.

You can tell John Allison was starting to struggle writing the story around this point.

One thing that bugged me was how he had Mildred and Linton (especially Linton) give up on being part of the Wentack group. Linton's role in the last few stories has always been "the horny one", so it made me glad that he got some more characterization in this story. I realize Allison made Linton and Mildred step down because he wanted the story to focus more on the new Mystery Kids, but it was still a bit disappointing.

I’ll be real disappointed honestly if it turns out to be emphysema or something if not COVID.

Like I know being disappointed by Rex Morgan is something to expect but it’s a major cock-up when a comic that’s ostensibly about a doctor has less to say about the biggest public health crisis of this century than friggin’ *Curtis*.

Another thing that bugs me about this is that Dawn has never once considered moving to France. Not only is it selfish of her to expect him to move instead, I find it hard to believe a 20-year-old girl would not at least think about moving to Paris.

I wonder if she's spent even an instant trying to learn his language. I mean, beyond the stock phrases he busts out every few seconds to remind everybody he's French. I feel like if you're dating somebody whose first language is different than your own, it would be nice to at least learn a little bit of it. Then again, this chump would probably keep telling her that the girls in France speak French much better than American girls do.

She loves her west coast retirement community lifestyle.
I don't particularly like the Jared character either but I hope Dawn gets owned for this selfish try before you buy nonsense. Moy can't possible think this is ethical in any way.

In their hubris an incompetence, the hunting party shot their tracker dog instead of their main prize, the lone and endangered wolf. I think this was kind of Mämmilä's point of view, traditionalism versus modern influence and the change of times in general. I loved Mämmilä as a kid; the real town Mämmilä is based on (Orivesi) of this is not far from where I live.

I connected with the kids in the comics when I originally read them, but now when I am older, I understand the viewpoints from the adults in this much more, and the small town politics are all too real even today. Mämmilä was a great series of comics, there is much more in store, keep following certain characters that have been already established here.

It is, and it's also where Dharma briefly retired between the Chief Dharma comic and the Boss Dharma comic. At first I thought she was just telling him to go to Jeju and he was overdramatically interpreting this as her telling him to retire again but then I noticed she specifically said he was going to the branch office, not Jeju in general.
