Something makes me think Ilene isn't dead, but I'll have to wait and find out :)

These bands are so bad! You can tell from the names! The bad bands she booked based on Pru's recommendations will definitely be bad and be evidence that Pru was better and wives should stay home!

I was idly debating starting to post OG Scary-Go-Round before I saw BM's return, actually, but that would probably literally take a decade or more. Or Bobbins.Horse, perhaps. The original Bobbins was created with the hopes of actually becoming a newspaper comic, apparently. Although now John Allison tells people to just skip it and go straight to SGR (I guess it might also be why he created Bobbins.Horse).

Maybe this time round I'll try and squeeze in Into The Woods or The Big Hiatus.

We can lay a lot of sins at the feet of the new Mark Trail artist, but one of them is not understanding how three-dimensional heads work. Compare the shading in the first and second panels.

Shattered Coccyx sounds modern post-punk-ish, I'm thinking something like Snapped Ankles. Death to Eardrums could be anything from screamo to a modern dub collective.

I'd chance it and have a drink, if they served anything other than mocktails.

I admit I didn't hang out around Times Square in the 1970s (I was more interested in blocks and gerbils back then), but I am reasonably sure the strip joints back then didn't employ carny barkers with checked jackets, bowties, and straw boaters.

I'll be honest, I didn't realize that Brenda Starr was Peyton Manning's mother.
