I hope the young couple in Mämmilä gets to catch a break! ![]() B. Virtanen (Warning: racism) ![]() Uh... I'm pretty sure the artist was going for a sarcastic angle, but I don't think the result really works in the comic's favour on many levels. Especially since this strip comes out of nowhere in-between a storyline. I wonder if there was some topical event that caused this to be drawn? ANSU ![]() ![]()

Neat. I wonder if they realised what they did. I had this thought when reading the first appearance of Lex Luthor, but it's interesting to think that at the time they had no idea they'd created one of the most enduring villains in pop culture. I remember Heathcliff having a cartoon back in the 80s-90s. I don't remember much about it, but it was NOTHING like the weird surrealist stuff I've seen for the past however many years I've been reading the comics threads. Was Heathcliff always like this and if not, what the hell happened to him? Also despite being a cross-over thing, Dethany does fit pretty well in the Tracy universe.

I had a Heathcliff book back in the 80s and while it usually wasn't weird like this, there was a long form comic in it where the mice declared war on Heathcliff and were bombing him with pickles until anti-cuke protestors stopped it. So there has been a surreal aspect all along in one way or another.
