Strontium posted:Angry Birds So I thought Dethany saw something important and rushed away, and everyone else just thought she was rushing for the bathroom, but she actually was... only in order to wash her hands though. Either that, or she habitually doesn't flush, except when the flush mechanism is interesting and old-fashioned (does the Tracy team think that's what goth is about?). Also, how do the goons know the bathroom is out of order? If they'd ever tried to flush they would have found the money. Where'd they go all this time?

|
More to the point; why would the goon warn her that it’s not working? Why would he care?! No, I don’t think he knew the money was there, the comic isn’t clever enough to add another layer to this storyline.

If Dethany had seen where the money was, her leaving her boyfriend still tied up and gagged would have at least made some sense because Dethany's terrible like that. But no, she seriously just left him there just to use the bathroom. It's loving nonsensical and makes Dethany look even worse than before. ![]()

There is, actually, a tv-film (from Play for the Day called 'The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Piano Player.' It was transmitted in 1973, I think, and starred Ray Davies. I have it in my Kinks ![]() It does not, however, feature Ray determinedly playing piano whilst a lovelorn girl hangs around.

Classic Kevin and Kell (March 18-22, 1996)![]() ![]() ![]() First appearance: Majorie and Manny Ursal. They're recurring characters, but don't really get involved in the overall plot: they'll have their own small plot arc wayyyy later, in 2001, when they're going to reconcile with their daughter (and her husband and son), whom they'd thrown out of their home for being a vegetarian. ![]() ![]()

Manuel Calavera posted:How the mighty have fallen. How long did it take us to hate the new Tracy, two years? It took much longer than that for people actually hating it, but I remember having lost the interest around George Takei story which was after two years.

![]() You know, sometimes friends talk poo poo about each other in a joking manner. "Hur hur, is she training the dog or is the dog training her" is low-key friend ribbing that, while super-lame as friend-burns go, isn't a big deal and doesn't make me worry about the friendship dynamics. But yesterday they were talking about Luann's would-be boyfriend training her like a dog and today they are talking about Bernice regarding Luann as a pet. It's... it's kind of icky.
