Ah gently caress, I'm an idiot. Parsed your question the wrong way.
But yeah, I imagine it's mostly that the artist on the new one isn't particularly skilled and/or doesn't give a poo poo.

These comic pairings with 1 dedicated artist and 1 dedicated writer are so strange, considering how many really good comics manage to somehow have 1 person do both.

There was a different artist then. If I can refer you to the wikipedia article about this, you'll see that what we are seeing is the "Kyle Miller Era" of WD, wherein he faced much resistance from fans, but ultimately they came around to his style, to the point that there was widespread shock when he left.

As you can see by the CLEAR LACK of character growth and development (ie the lack of Rita's ICONIC water bottle) this is obviously an older comic.

As to why we're being punished with additional, older strips of Working Daze, I have no idea.

This is a thread with three versions of Dick Tracy and two versions of Nancy. It can support an extra version of Working Daze with passable art for the time being.

I can also throw in Vintage Working Daze to complete the odyssey from artist to artist, if you like:

The art in Mark Trail has gotten so much more interesting since James Allen decided he had something to proof. Vargo, you should cyber-bully newspaper comic people more often. I'm actually looking forward to Mark loving Trail!

That's a joke. Like an actual joke. It's not particularly funny, but unmistakably a joke. And no one is explaining the punchline.

I can appreciate Sally Forth in that it's a positive comic with no annoying characters and a main family that loves one another. It also needs an editor pretty drat badly because whatever joke it wants to set up always gets lost under that avalanche of :words:.

I thought he might be entering the Retail phase where things work out for everyone before the comic ends and they all ride into the sunset. But then he just spent seven years on exploring the concept of Curtis wearing a new hat. But then if anyone would do that just before ending the comic...

I'll be posting End of the World at some point (there's still ~25 V&W strips left and I'll handle those first)

Lars' book is from 2012 and features these stories:
26. Moomin the Colonist
27. Moomin and the Scouts
28. Moomin and the Farm
29. Moomin and the Goldfields

I don't remember if they've been posted (also I'm not sure if I'm going to scan those)

Ah, great job.

If we stagger it a bit, I'll be done posting Moomin + Family Life and Moomin on the Riviera in 32 days. (10 until I'm done posting Family Life.)
If you started posting it then we could have just 1 moomin story running at a time, having it run as an intermission of sorts.

As for posting random stories out of order, my opinion is to just do them chronologically. I remember there being a bit of a mess of 'wait which stories have been posted?' anytime someone wanted to post Moomin in the past. Since a couple stories just got posted out of order.
