Are these actually available in legitimate form? Were they ever published outside of newspapers?

Historical context on this storyline: the very first Space Shuttle mission, STS-1, would launch only a few days after these strips ran, on April 12. I think Breathed probably hoped for it to line up exactly, but due to publication delays and such, he had to guess at the exact timing and hope for the best. He still got pretty dang close.

As far as I know they haven't been reprinted in their original format, however Dark Horse took them and rearranged them into comic book format (which Marvel has since reprinted).

maybe for one second you can pause; try to step into another person's perspective, and understand that a watermelon is cursing me

here we see fistula, the perennially wrong character, ask of the holy saint dethany why the company for which they work does not expand into the market of information sales given that they already control the means by which the information is recorded. data collection, dethany reminds her, while not honest work is productive work, and productive work is to be left to the petty interests of the bourgeois. for while those common beasts formulate their (ultimately futile) schemes to lift themselves out of class mediocrity, crawling like crabs from the bucket that is fastrack incorporated, the company gorges itself on their wealth for free as it rents them their destinies. as the old saying goes, the only person getting rich in a gold rush is the shovel salesman, and so too here does fastrack sell these tech platforms their shovels, carefree of if they even find dirt to plant them in. like the manorlady of old, rose trellis ceo sits in her fineness built by the parasitisation of the lesser classes, producing nothing while taking all that she can in the belief that she deserves it. for such is the landlord; a parasite; a tick, that believes its ownership of essential property, of the blood of the system, grants it license to the dog.

comics will resume tomorrow.

In today's Corto Maltese: Now, remember everyone, if you are in a house fire, keep low to lessen smoke inhalation - this could save your lungs considerable damage!, or Normally, I would have recommended a sanitarium for Hipazia, but then I remembered what time period it was and I can understand Teone's reasoning a bit better, or The 24th of April means it is the eve of the Feast of St. Mark, the patron saint of Venice - that's the only reason why I could imagine Corto thinking it notable. Funny thing, it's very likely the locals of Venice managed to lose his corpse after it was smuggled in from Alexandria. That was a bit foolish of them.
