nah, slim bdrom in fileserver is the pro move

i have a lil supermicro chassis that has 4x 3.5" front trays, a couple front usb and a serial port, and a slim optical spot. its a v minimal friction way to get the bits u already own onto the server thats already hooked up to every screen in the house

a copy from Those Sites will be fine, but not as good as the thing you already have, so why bother?

what's the recommended software for ripping dvds on Windows nowadays?

I haven't ripped any since 2010 or so, and then it was DVDfab and Handbrake.

if you want a full-quality rip, makemkv

if you want to compress it to something less, you could stick its output into handbrake, or there's probably a more streamlined tool idk

yeah it was absolutely fine for what he was trying to convey about bandwidth. amps and volts are usually described the same way to help people understand how it works, despite it not really being like that.

the dunking was probably because he was speaking against net neutrality, plus a smattering of the usual nerd gatekeeping

Gotta get paid, don't blame you at all. The hype was very funny because a buddy of mine bought some LCD shutter 3d glasses that worked with his regular rear end CRT monitor back in like '99.

Haha, I did not know this. I had heard AdBlock was selling access to their whitelist to ad companies, but didn't know where that first came out.
