california seems like a place not suited to sustaining human life

I'm very hopeful that Hawaii is the first state to declare the virus eradicated on our islands, since it would mean we could actually restart industry and turn our island into a more industrial one. Of course our dumbass governor will open our doors to tourists asap with no precautions and we will immediately have the worst infection rate in the world.

MA extended stay at home advisory to 5/4 this is going to be the longest month in my loving life. wouldn't be surprised if it turns into 2 months and even if they open things back up at that point i still might keep myself holed up

it would absolutely be worthwhile to stay at home as long as you can, there will be a second wave of infections when the stay at home orders start getting lifted

i don't think so? they will just not pay rent for a bit. what are the landlords going to do, lease the property to another restaurant?

i just remembered this article from a few decades ago, earlier this month, about a weed shop opening in metro boston and how excited the owners were. they got all of two weeks sales in before having to close for covid. apparently the dispensaries are having to cut way back since they shut retail sales. most are looking at dropping about half of their staff or more. what a time to open a business though
