i just bought the hotline miami collecfion for switch cause it was $6 and i enjoyed it when i played it before. the sequel wasn't fun though i fought some monsters this morning. magnamalo carted me twice before i got him (he was easier the first time i beat him for some reason) and it was frustrating but now i have a better weapon and better armor so it ought to be easier next time.

I've been playing all the 2000s era crystal dynamics Tomb Raider games and they're still really solid. 3D gymnastics puzzle platforming is fun and Anniversary is probably one of the best games of all time. I feel bad every time Lara kills an endangered animal or destroys an ancient artifact though. World's shittiest archaeologist. At least indiana jones brought the stuff back to put in a museum

I got bogged down in Anniversary trying to get places I shouldn't because that's how you find the secrets in the original. I need to give it another go... the original PS1/PC version is still my fav i think. i play through it every few years and jump through the hoops to put the PS1 music and sfx back into the steam version

I’m also playing more no mans sky on my own time and making progress on the main quests for the first time ever I also got into a fight with some sentinels in the middle of a radiation storm while trying to farm up enough ferrite dust for my launch thrusters was fun

 First ScorchBeast dead  I was battling with some Supermutants when this big guy flapped along and made it a three-way tussle; my combat rifle wasn't doing much to his health bar but he landed to melee a mutie, I ran to a dead Overlord I'd killed and checked already Didn't he have a big-rear end minigun in his inventory? Yes! Pulled it out and let rip into the 'Beast from basically point-blank, dead in 20 seconds of sustained blasting & dodging. Edit: [STEALTH 100], top-tier MothMan hiding.

Hotline Miami was cool but the levels were much too open, most of them were just an empty hall with some little rooms and once one guy with gun sees you everybody is after you, it was extremely annoying, HM1 was more comfortable for me with it's difficulty

hotline miami 1 is almost a perfect game. I respected some of the efforts to mix things up in HM2, such as playing the two guys with the chainsaw and pistol, but it was really undermined by some pretty lovely level design about 2/3 of the way through. 1 remains a classic, though - a very simple game, perfectly executed.

Mothman appears and you can 'confer with his wisdom' and get +5% XP for the next hour. After that he just sits in front of the lighthouse for a time, so I thought I'd get a selfie next to him - just setting up the perfect angle and depth-of-field etc, about to press the shutter and he decides thats the time to leave in a big flash of light + smoke + bang. I nearly poo poo.
