I hope whoever launches V3 of home VR kit gets the FOV a bunch wider than the current face-binoculars effect we have now. It's amazing how immersive and fun VR can be even hobbled with the limitations it has, so better horizontal views will be a real step up. (also the foveated rendering / eye tracking tech pls)

vr is a big ol' mehburger. there are some briefly fun experiences but it gets boring quickly. the new HP headset with the 8-megapixel display seems like it might be decent, though, so call me back when it doesn't need a supercomputer to hold 90fps.

alyx is fine. but its like 8 - 10 hrs long and i don't really see why you would play it more than once. because it is vr, something small or large will break about 20% of the time you go to use it

every other dealio gets hyped up for education and then what peeps are actually using it for is entertainment. vr gets hyped up for entertainment and then what peeps actually use it for is education i know of corpo deployments at bmw, walmart, tyson foods, buncha military deployments, hospital dealios the sell goes, "well do you wanna actually have a missile in your face or black friday hordes at the gates or simulate"

my launch-era psvr is dying and at this point I'm probably going to let it stay dead and get a psvr2 to use with my ps5 a year from now it's fun and it's got some unique experiences and that's it. it's just another toy
