The idea here isn't about counting the votes, but counting the number of ballots issued by workers with the number of ballots in the tabulator. It's incredibly stupid to do because the tabulator counts better than humans do and there's no recourse anyways if the numbers don't match. Which is kinda the point: they're fishing for a reason to throw out an election (they can't) if somehow the numbers don't match.

In my precinct (different state), you check in with a voting application, you get a voter number (#69) and ballot number (#71 because of fuckups). You turn in that application right before you feed the tabulator the ballot. We had like 300 total voters come through at the end of the night. So these chucklefucks want to go HAHA WE ONLY SHOW 299 BALLOTS AND #71 IS MISSING IN THE TABULATOR ELECTION INVALID when that voter could've just waltzed off without us being to check. Precincts constantly mismatch by one or two and the Georgia chucklefucks want to use that as an excuse to invalidate the election because Donnie said so.

The endgame in Georgia, like it always has been, is to prevent black people from voting. Folks there have had a hard-on for "welfare queens" as long as I can remember.

Have wondered what would happen if a Deep South state like Alabama or Mississippi had enough unlikely events happen where the state government was set to become majority Black democrats. Guessing whatever steps they could think of to cling to power including abolishing the legislature/governorship or trying to merge with a neighboring state, anything to prevent the last several decades of records from being closely reviewed.

They had that on a smaller scale in Arizona when new Democrat governor found while they may have laws on the books about large developments needing adequate water sourcing they weren�t being enforced so many projects got canceled.

I think the reason there is more movement towards election fuckery in Georgia vs. AL or MS is that in Georgia it actually matters. AL/MS don't need to gently caress around with the elections because the elections are pretty much always 'republicans control everything.' While they both have large Black minorities, it's like 25% in Alabama and 35% in MS-they are still very much the minority except in some cities and the Mississippi Delta and Alabama Black Belt where there are a few minority-majority counties.

You need to layer your anti-ads and anti-trackers on youtube. I've been able to avoid that stuff thankfully. Ghostery+No Script+ublock+canvas blocker+disconnect+privacy badger+grease monkey with some scripts on mozilla seems to have solved the ads garbage.

If that seems like an absurd amount of effort needed to just avoid having ads shoved in front of one's eyeballs, it is, it sucks.

that i basically reserve for stuff related to medical conditions

Youtube periodically does something that bypasses ublock until the latter patches it. I don't care if avoiding tracking is impossible so long as I can poison enough data along the way. When I do receive targeted ads its for something completely unrelated to anything I do or am or want, so I'm gonna consider it successful enough even if its theoretically impossible to bat 1.000.

Paying for stuff isn't an option due to being poor and also I am full of spite and refuse to give money for something that was enshitified.

I use Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection (but turned off on Youtube so it doesn't interfere with uBlock Origin's workings), uBlock Origin, and also this:

A specialist YT-only ad blocker.

I also only visit Youtube logged out and have cookies from Youtube and Google blocked, as well.
