Thank you, Johnny Hockey.
With Biden having won Wisconsin (suck it from the back, Donnie, you lost, but I'll give you Alaska), here are the clinching scenarios per 270 to Win:

PA+any of GA/MI/NC/AZ
GA+one of MI/NC
MI+NC

AZ+NV+any of GA/MI/NC

Trump would need no less than four of the above, but in any combination.

e- And holy poo poo, the race in Georgia got tight all of a sudden. :getin:

Trump would need no less than four of the above, but in any combination.

Of these:

Pennsylvania is for Trump by about ~460,000
NC is for Trump by ~77,000
Georgia is for Trump by ~70,000
Arizona is for Biden by ~93,000
Michigan is for Biden by ~45,000

So Biden is looking good for Arizona and Michigan, which gets him right to the 270 threshold. We're kind of waiting for Pennsylvania to get through all their mail in ballots before it can be called.

Apparently there are a lot more votes to go in Arizona than originally reported, and as the vote goes on Trump closes the gap. How possible is it he flips it back red?

Also since it came up in thread. If I wanted to explore japanese whiskey and had ~$50 to drop what should I check out.
Like Anders said, Yamazaki is pretty good, but I think it's more like a $100 bottle most places.

Suntory's Toki is under $40 near me and not bad, I like using it in cocktails.

Suntory Toki is very smoky and peaty, like a scotch. Suntory Hibiki, which is just above the $50 mark ($60-$80), is my go-to and is more sweet fire, without the smoke of Toki. I'd say Hibiki is more demonstrative of Japanese whiskey.

Costco also has bottles of Kaiyo, which I haven't tried, but keep eyeing. Any trip reports?

It's the problem with the late early vote versus the standard early vote. Here's Nate Cohn:

Fox/AP don't think the numbers work out for a flip and it's apparently likely they don't.

Not to try and back seat mod, but why are you guys talking about whiskey in the election thread? Seems like this is just the replacement for the general thread since we were told not to discuss election results there. So what was the point?

Toki is the one I have. I'm not really a whisky or scotch guy so I decided to get the lowest priced Japanese one they had vs getting a high end one to try.

Honestly I suck at being able to tell and appreciate the taste of scotch and whiskey. When people say smoky and peat, all I think of is its tastes like a throat medicine and/or what rocket fuel must taste like.

Yeah, I'm just finally at the point where I can appreciate bourbon and the quality difference between various ones. Scotch tastes like hair spray.

This'd be a tough fight anywhere in America even without the companies putting their fingers on the scale. Especially now that people are so reliant on food delivery which, despite how little the drivers are getting paid, is still extremely expensive.

California is a prime of example of the failures of democracy both in terms of it's people via ballot measures and it's legislature and the weirdo stuff they do.

Funny you mention bourbon as I prefer that too. Also it was my dad's originally drink until a friend who he want to Jewish services, and who was an officer, (jokingly) told him that he needed to drink scotch if he was going to become an officer (he didn't, but became a scotch guy ever since then).

As someone who used to live in Montgomery County, I was hoping for better margins. But perhaps they are good enough, but this was big rear end blue county.

Almost all of that goes straight into DoorDash’s pockets, too.

I’ve done some DoorDash driving to make some money between semesters, etc and it’s just a constant barrage of declining $4 for a 10 mile drive until I finally get one that’ll pay more than a dollar a mile. Easily 3-4 declined runs before I get one that’s worth the gas money.

Of course the market is happy, it's their dream scenario: Trump out so no more surprise sanctions or stupid decisions but a Republican Senate so no new laws that could tax businesses.

I dunno PA still seems really important. Biden is barely ahead in Nevada, and he needs to win it and Arizona to just get to like 270. A win in PA means he is clearly beyond the 270 point.
