Deleting the Awful app from my phone and ignoring the forums/Discord until Wednesday am at the earliest. I’ve got a workout to look forward to, dogs to walk and pet, and a bottle of Knob Creek to enjoy. Good luck to those of you who are going full Bird Box on the results.

Like hearing a team’s defensive line left early to beat traffic as they line up for a FG with 1 second remaining. Not ideal for the organization but unlikely to impact the result.

Anyone but Donnie would probably be winning this thing without much doubt. The fact that it *is* close is probably a testament to how lovely a candidate he is. May not matter though! But I'd rather be Kamala: https://x.com/adamwren/status/1853631136045433251?t=BV9nKtry6YG0xBKOGksSgA&s=19 https://x.com/ryanjreilly/status/1853622267164422270?t=QDyQNgrL9eAqRUYq8HD7Wg&s=19 The *only* thing that went right for Donnie in the closing three weeks is that Rogan just endorsed him.

Not ideal for the organization but unlikely to impact the result. It's the best window into what the campaign *actually* thinks versus mouth noises. It's one thing to say "we're winning", but another thing to not feel it when you have access to data that you get access to when you have $1B at your disposal. Granted, Hillary's people didn't realize their data was bad so they were essentially huffing farts that the Donnie side also believed. CBJSprague24 posted:People keep saying 270/268 Harris, and I'm not sure if that's legit or televised clickbait. I feel like a lot of the cable news chatter at this point is rooted in "no, watch OUR coverage!" Nah that's legit and my own personal map. I don't like the NV early vote bucking tradition and going mega-republican. Same deal for GA, early democratic turnout, particularly black turnout, is low (though higher-than-expected will-vote-on-EDay results in surveys there). NC has enough history of ticket-splitting for governor that it won't be as big of an anchor on Donnie. Blue Wall holds because inflation isn't as bad, housing costs aren't as bad, and Kamala is still cleaning up among white voters and women. Anyone but Donnie would take Michigan.

Rogan is an ideology sponge so the Dems can swing this one by squeaking Walz in for a last minute 30 minute spot. Get him in and out and have Rogan switch his endorsements bright and early and still have time to swing by McD's for a sausage and egg mcmuffin and a couple hashbrowns.

He's definitely not ideologically neutral, but he also has waaaaaaay more right-wing and "libertarian" guests than he has anyone to the left of the klan or more functional than "actually, by the age of 14--" types. There's been some pretty funny cases where if you sit him down with someone who can properly explain left-leaning policies in as few syllables as possible (as he is a concussion elemental), he'll engage dummy mode and go "yeah man that makes some seriously good sense, I love it" like his DMT-addled mind has been temporarily spontaneously rewired. The right wing psychosis pipeline uses him as a massive platforming tool, though, and has been grinding that for years. It's probably way too late to try to use him for good, but maybe the Soviet research chemicals will get him sometime between now and the next election.

Can't wait to find out this evening if my vote only kind of mattered, actually mattered, or really badly mattered. Thanks Electoral College/swing state fun (this poo poo needs to go). I went right at 6am in my small rural town of like 1200 people and still had to wait in line for a few minutes.

Would have voted early, but my state is a GOP supermajority so each county gets one location and the wait is always hours, even for my mostly rural county. And our absentee process has GOP fuckery as well. Yay voter suppression.

Alright done. In and out in about 20 minutes at 8am. Time to go to work, come home at sunset, sit in the dark and have exactly two (2) rum and cokes and then hopefully get 12 hours of sleep. Notifications are turned off, I'll probably turn my phone off and then resist turning anything on in the middle of the night.

What's a good site/stream to watch election coverage from outside the US, besides this thread? The more sober and analytical and less sensational, the better.
