What the gently caress do they think goddamn Trump is going to do to be a better alternative? He hasn’t killed yet. If he does the same thing next time, then we’ll vote him out.” e: I've seen similar reporting on other new sites (WaPo, NYT, WSJ), but I figured the Guardian would carry a bit more weight as a non-US news organization psydude fucked around with this message at 23:31 on Nov 5, 2024 |

Mr. Nice! posted:My county in FL has record turnout. There are numerous counties >80% turnout right now. Florida might not be a case where heavy turnout is a good thing because of the massive Republican advantage in registrations: https://x.com/StatisticUrban/status/1853840021855371607?t=oaTps4UkWfkfVLF3pIlC3g&s=19 Also you can probably ignore the early Dearborn / hamtramck reports. Harris hold-nose voters aren't going to talk to the media on the way out and Harris got some last-minute Muslim/Arab coalition endorsements.

Steps 1-4 complete. Vote, go to work, don't think about the election all day, get home. Step 5 (2 drinks!) has commenced. Hopefully I'm out like a light before polls close and I don't think about it until tomorrow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIV9HM5Yj80 MSNBC has the Kornacki Cam going, uncut Steve Kornacki election coverage until it's called. Now, granted he probably ain't going to speak for extended periods while everyone is waiting for poll closures, but it's a camera literally focused on him and his desk as he is working on election coverage lol.

If anything he’d have encouraged it further since Israel are “winner”.

When you've lost all hope that anything will get better, "eh lets try this even though it probably won't be an improvement" has appeal, on the one in a million chance you're wrong and it does improve. Lot of medical scams work on the same principles, if you're dying anyway why not give it a shot? You have nothing left to lose.

My parents live in FL and voted for Trump for a third time. They also hate living in FL. Every time I go back to FL the people seem meaner and angrier. Which is not how I would have described the state when I left a decade ago. Edit: my parents voted for legal weed though. They always buy a ton of edibles when they come to WA.
