Without one, that funding can carry on into perpetuity however there are plenty of reasons to leave things funded. Yeah I did a quickskim before my sanity protection mechanisms kicked in and the main argument seems to be... people undervoting downballot? That's completely and entirely normal. It's BlueAnon poo poo. Example: Kamala lost Michigan and Dearborn notably, but Slotkin, ex-CIA and all, still won Dearborn and Michigan Senate. It's not because she did better than Kamala! Slotkin actually got fewer votes than Kamala did, but the Republican candidate got even fewer than Donnie did. Also how Democrats also expanded their leads on the state supreme court. There are shitloads of voters who only vote in the topline races, then ignore the rest. We constantly got questions of "hey, I didn't research this other poo poo, can I leave it blank?" Undervotes are completely normal. Also, in case it's mentioned, there weren't "15 million missing votes", that was an artifact of mail-in counting. That also knocked Donnie below 50% of the popular vote, not that it matters. Counting takes a long time!

Hell, I probably contributed to downballot undervoting in my suburban precinct just because there came a point in my ballot where the rest of the races had Republicans running unopposed and there wasn't any loving point in bothering to touch the boxes.

Pretty clear that Gaetz boned 17-year olds in a state where 18 is the statutory age, but it's sounding like Gaetz didn't ask/know ages while Greenberg did. But on net, the whole point is that none of this matters if Republicans decide it doesn't matter. It's on Democrats to make a gigantic stink about it, but if Gaetz gets 50 of 53 Republican votes in the Senate, he's in.
