Exuding max levels of dad energy. Now we need to find out that he didn't want the drat dog in the first place, but he now refuses to get up when the dog is asleep on him because he would hate to disturb him.

Am I allowed to feel hope? The last couple of elections have scared me in ways I don't know how to really express, and I still don't really understand, but it seems like things could get better.

It really helps that Donnie's campaign decided that Walz is a libby liberal who libs, which is really easy to counter and advance the weird story: https://x.com/ArthurDelaneyHP/status/1820821417363152916?t=HisemsojGyTLPHJs0CsWZA&s=19

I can't really describe how happy I am Walz is the pick. It's a night and day difference compared to Shapiro for me, and the fact Harris' team went with Walz rather than the one all the talking heads were saying she had absolutely had to pick is giving me a lot of optimism I haven't felt in a long while.

The DNC is just teeing us up for a massive own-goal. They're going to sweep the election, have a legislative supermajority and the White House, and then they're going to try to reach across the aisle by repealing the 14th Amendment, stacking the courts with Heritage Foundation picks, and giving Israel an SSBN.

I'm feeling the relief, same as everyone, but at the same time it's depressing how low the bar has become when the DNC managing not to pick the Zionist during an active genocide is cause for celebration.

The leak was that Kamala didn’t actually make the final decision between Walz and Shapiro until this morning. Since that means the campaign was preparing for both that also explains why there were leaks it was Shapiro.

Same method Biden did before dropping out - he apparently decided, slept on it, then kept his decision. Also VERY funny that Walz voted *for* the subpoena to hold Eric Holder in contempt for the Fast and Furious scandal, and it was Holder's law firm doing the vetting that ended up with "he's your dude."

Yeah, this is a low-key good sign - it looks like Harris' team didn't leak, and you have to figure there are some disgruntled Shapiro advocates out there. If they can stay unified and disciplined and not get into petty internal disputes then that's a real good sign.

The official (Donnie's) response is that somehow Joe Biden is pissed about all this and will come back at the convention and try to take back the nomination, or so he's heard. This is like how yesterday was the Kamala Krash, nevermind the bounceback today. Biden's still around! He loves the gently caress out of Tim and is going to campaign for him! Cheddarbraining very strongly.
