Cat Face Joe posted:knives out and glass onion are both good. also this is clearly not banana bread These were good movies for watching not at the cinema but in a room with friends, because we could speculate actively about what the deal is and also different details different people caught. And then interrupt one another with stuff we missed because we were talking over it. Great family Christmas viewing, very dense, solid flicks. Flicks where accurately figuring stuff out before it's explicitly revealed is a pleasant reward, not a disappointment. You feel that puzzle-solving thrill as, like Blanc says, the plot points in flight arc towards the only intelligent conclusion and land right at your feet. Apparently Craig and Johnson are contracted for a third movie and they'll keep going after that if they can continue working together. I'm into it. The only thing I muse about is what they have to bring to the formula which wasn't already there. The parlor room whodunnit, yeah, that's pre-existing. The southerner gentleman sleuth? Craig is a delight to watch but he's not exactly the most original creation if you see what I'm saying. Maybe the real novel angle is the sheer pantheon of horrible people the modern world has to offer over the Poirot era.

I am in favor of whatever Daniel Craig wants to do. He's a good egg.

netflix bought the rights to movies #2 and #3 for $400m, rian and daniel each got $100m of that the movies themselves are the cheapest part of the deal at only $40m each they could each personally self fund several chapters of the benoit blanc story if they keep the budget the same duz fucked around with this message at 23:18 on Jan 2, 2023 |

daniel craig is secretly a great voice actor. he had a decent role as the pirate in tintin, but an absolutely insane part in comrade detective that he did very well

Cold on a Cob posted:those children did nothing wrong im really mad that at no point in this video did they explain: * what the point of the robot was * why they didn't just let it play with the children idk what it is about EEs but every one i've worked with has been utterly comitted to "the robot is perfect, the environment is the problem"-type thinking when if they did any kind of site- or user-study they could've built a robot that did whatever dumb presumably-adtech thing this one does plus having a couple subroutines to entertain the only guests that are actually interested in interacting with it in the first place
