I hope his Q doesn't do damage or it'll be super annoying beyond just resetting your teams heal progress while you all huddle behind the same piece of cover or in a small building.

I can't think off the top of my head any abilities that a brief interrupt would do anything about besides sniping a pathfinder early-grapple.

It's probably solely to stop the Lifeline revive, but maybe Valkyrie float will fall under "ability usage".

If you could cancel regular revives that would be very strong since you can hear them from so far away.

YouTube iTemp pointed out that it maybe interrupted Valk’s flight in the gameplay trailer last week. Could push her out of preparing to launch, too.
Despite being used on Gibby in the video it’s not really clear, but it could force his shield down for a moment.
Could throw off Wattson’s groove when she’s building fences.
Might stop Loba while she’s waiting for her bracelet.
Could interrupt abilities with wind-up animations like Wraiths tactical and Bloodhound’s ult.
Could force legends to put away their deployable abilities, like Caustic or Gibby’s ults.
Could slow down Octane or Bangalore.

Lots of possibilities. Someone should run some tests in the Firing Range when the season starts.

These are the interactions for Revs silence, if we assume Seers thing is the same mechanic just with a much shorter duration

quote:

This only prevents enemies from activating the abilities. Abilities already in use are not affected, excluding abilities such as Gibraltar's Gun Shield, Lifeline's Combat Revive and Pathfinder's Grappling Hook.

Silencing a Wraith while she's placing her Dimensional Rift will cancel the ult. Wraith will be able to use it again once the silence runs out.

This also affects some legend's Passive abilities such as Gibraltar's Gun Shield, Lifeline's Combat Revive, Octane's Swift Mend, Mirage's Now You See Me... and Valkyrie's VTOL Jets

Yea that part of the gameplay trailer was weird. Maybe it did enough damage to down her, not take out her ability to fly.

Do you have a saucy club name?
Might want to consider renaming (e.g. disbanding and opening a new one), or, if you're just a member, leaving said club.
What's considered problematic? Your guess is as good as mine.

Allegedly people have been EA account banned(!) for club names like "SniperLover69" and "SimpLegends". Not just the creators of the club, but all members - despite having received an email warning, stating that there would be no consequences for their account as of now.

Probably some sort of fuckup, but hey, who knows.

UPDATE: There have been a number of reports for bans due to club names on the @EAHelp Twitter, and a user was recently informed on the EA forums that there were unintentional suspensions behind the warnings.

I sometimes use one alternator with a 1x and another with a 2x, though usually I prefer a R301 or G7 in the ranged slot since they scope farther.

R99 is satisfying as hell. And really, that’s all I ask from FPS guns.

E: is there a technical reason why FPS guns have pre-determined spray patterns instead of random ones?

I play Arenas almost exclusively since launch and have had seven success with the R99 (for someone with potato hands) but I’ll grab the Alt and a couple of nades from now on, at least when I’m not maxing a Mozambique and just running gunning and dying.

It makes controlling recoil a skill based thing you can master the more it isn’t RNG. So some titles go full random, some (usually esportsy ones like CS) go basically full predetermined, some go a mix- basically just a design decision.

Tried to use it first game today and couldn’t hit poo poo. Was flailing about absolutely worthless and thought about putting the controller down and just doing some housework. Then the next round I just went with my usual load out from the past week or so, Moz fully kitted out round 1 then Hemlock the rest of the rounds. I was pretty much unstoppable that match and ended with at least one 3 kill round and almost all of the damage challenges completed.

Had a great time using the Alternator today when I could, unfortunately they were all BR games where I was ammo starved the whole time but the controllable recoil really helped out and there's nothing more satisfying that taking out an entire team in a clip and a half.

I’m going to miss the Alternator. Down at my level having a gun that can kill someone with plenty of bullets to spare means that I can comfortably murder an R-99 maniac who thinks their aim is twice as good as it actually is while they’re desperately praying their reload goes off to finish the last 20 health I’ve been left with.

Is there another gun that’s as easy and comfortable? I feel like the Flatline comes close but it’s not quite the same.

Honestly, I’m so used to compensating my terrible aim that I correct for recoil/drift as if it were the fault of my garbage motor skills instead of the weapon’s. People complain about the Havoc’s awful spray pattern but gently caress if I ever notice. Learning how to control any specific weapon is a waste of time when you could instead be terrible at shooting and spend every fight frantically trying to keep your crosshair aimed in the vague direction of someone’s torso.

Why no I’ve never cleared Gold, why do you ask?

SKULL.GIF

The (non-Turbocharger) Havoc's recoil is perfectly fine, the problem is it starts up after 1 second of winding up, making it near-impossible to learn/control on the fly unless you spend like three dozen straight games using the Havoc and only the Havoc.

Just delete that gun and try again.

Devotion is fine without Turbocharger because the clip/magazine is so large that you can adjust as you're firing.

So I booted it up for the first time since launch along with a buddy and we've spent the week getting murdered. In BR we pretty much get vaporized the instant we commit to an engagement, whether we drop hot or drop on the edge doesn't really matter. We tried arena to get used to the guns and I'm currently 3-12 with a .36 K/D. It feels like we either get completely steamrolled or we're sidekicks to some high level dude who carries us. We had one game where it felt evenly matched with bad players all around and that was a lot of fun.

We spent some time at the firing range but it hasn't really translated into live targets who are doing corner peaking headshots and all sortsa other backflip crouch jump side strafe sliding shenanigans while murdering us. Like honestly even when we're just standing there stationary five feet away from each other it feels like I'm somehow missing shots that should be gimmes. Is it just tough titties cause we suck or is there a way for us to get into matches with other people who suck? I'm trying to figure out whether I want to spend more time in this game or just do something else until Battlefield, I think I might be too slow at my advanced age to hang with this game lol

Havoc is good. The control is easy as gently caress and you just need to remember to cycle it before you step out. You will murder people.

Devotion sucks.

Play ranked. It at least puts an upper skill cap on the people you face. You will still run into ridiculously good players occasionally but they will quickly move up out of your rank.

Not sure what settings you're on but lowering my sensitivity below what Apex considers default (and setting ADS sensitivity even lower than hipfire sensitivity) made a huge difference in my ability to hit my shots. There's some tactical stuff like taking high ground and push/hold/retreat decisions that you might not even realize is getting you killed.

In general newbie accounts seem to get sorted into beginner lobbies, but if you're resurrecting an old account your play time might be too high for that to kick in. I've also noticed MMR putting you into easier and easier lobbies with consecutive losses but I've also seen matchmaking get really weird when you're partied up. Arenas in particular purposefully places very little emphasis on MMR when doing matchmaking.
