I just wish teammates would realize the best counter to Seer’s Ult is to not be in it. Sure, sometimes you don’t have a choice, and it’s still a pretty large area denial, but if you can safely remove yourself from the sphere it doesn’t do poo poo. This post brought to you by two situations in the same match where I was forced to choose between giving away my position or letting my teammates get dunked on.

Man I really wish I could set default sights in arena when I upgrade a gun. I hate having to remember every time that upgrading the Wingman that it still defaults to the 1x sight, or that the level 3 R-301 means I want the 2x/4x thank you very much.

god got my all time top damage and kills (gonna get that hammer one day, came within 200  ) playing wraith with the l star. other than using the mozambique in the beginning i don't think i used my other weapon slot, lmao. that gun is dumb as gently caress.

I thought if they were going to add faster reload/more capacity/tighter spread to the L-star with attachments they would of nerfed it's base-stats a bit. Nope, it's just straight up better now and went from a good underrated gun to a overpowered gun that is still underrated. Pick that thing up whenever you see it, it's got 500 damage in a "magazine" and reloading from overheated is faster then most regular guns with a purple stock and <1 second if you stop 1 bullet before overheating, as a comparison for none-rampart users, the overheated reload is 2.2 seconds on the L-star, assault rifles are 2.16 and you can just stop firing for a second when you hear the beeping to skip that entirely. Yup and if you just stop holding the button when it beeps at you, it's cooldown is so short you will demolish people who have to reload or swap to another gun. It's definitely the best gun in the game. It's not even hard to use anymore, now it doesn't blind you.

Seer is loving busted. I started playing him for the hitbox (its ridiculous) and then i started actually using his abilities. Here's my current thoughts (and if anyone wants credentials, i'm currently at a 30% winrate and a 4.3 k/d after 50 games). The heartbeat sensor needs to be toned down. I thought it'd tell me someone was "over there" ish, but no. I can target exactly where someone is. At all times, without any cooldown. I thought it might be obtrusive to make up for it but it isn't, i've not turned it off for actual combat once, the information is too good. Speaking of which: "You have to be accurate to hit his Q" was a loving lie. I regularly hit 2/3 people each time i fire it. The tracking is ridiculously good and I clown on everyone who's affected by it. I never miss either, because the heartbeat sensor tells me exactly where you're hiding. If seer tags you (with bullets, not the ability) and your team isn't hard covering your rear end, you're dead. You can't heal before he gets to you and even if you try he'll interrupt you with his Q. You can't run either, because he knows. He's a better hunter than loving bloodhound. I don't really have a problem with it being a recon ability, but i'm using it to down people, support allies through walls when one of us positions poorly, hold down corridors, third party, etc. It's truly a tactical that does everything except move me. His ult is way better than i thought it'd be to. I figured "oh i already know where everyone is in a fight, why do i care". But no, it gives me perfect information about how much time i have to heal before someone pushes me. Because it goes through walls i can just chuck it in a corner as i get tagged and i can heal for free, there isn't any risk. It's not like anyone is ever going to crouchwalk through it to get to me in time. It's so good for third partying into high density areas too. Streamer building in fragment? Chuck it on the floor nobody goes to in the corner. You'll never get jumped. I hope they nerf him into the ground. Every fight right now is just visual noise and the last time I came away from a game with an ability induced headache, Brigitte had just been introduced to overwatch and I was maining Reinhardt. I think the best counters to Seer right now are Wattson for repairing the chip damage and Rampart for setting up defenses where if he scans you he'll run into a wall of death he didn't see. The next best counter is to wait a few weeks for them to nuke him from orbit.

His Q just does too much at the same time, but he's a really cool character and his busted abilities are fun and flavourful. Half of what his Q does could be removed and placed on a new character's Q and they both would still be pretty good. Leave him his scouting abilities but remove the visual effect, damage and interrupt, and he's still at least on par with BH. Kinda weird because besides Seer the game feels great and reasonably balanced right now.

The heartbeat sensor feels like it breaks some kind of core BR tenet about not having 24/7 perfect information about other squads. I can see fair versions of the Q and ult existing but idk about the passive.

I think changing it to a notification "there is someone within range in this 180 degree area" would probably work. It's still powerful as hell though.

I think turtling up with Caustic is going to end up being one of the main counters to Seer because none of the info matters that much if you can't push into their building. Probably part of the reason they buffed him. Get Lifeline and maybe Wattson in there too and you're probably solid. Also, saw Noko pulling a big brain play with Octane the other day that I thought I should share. If you throw your shield down the instant Seer does his Q then pick it back up you'll auto heal the 10 flesh damage and can save your cells. e: And I don't know if it's been mentioned here but you can even run around at full speed while using the heartbeat sensor if you hold Seer's Q down. You can guess when it's about to happen a lot of the time, assuming you know that there's a Seer around. I very rarely get hit by the Q because it gives you a second to dodge out of it and I'm usually not stacked up right on top of my teammates since I'm looking for different angles/flanking opportunities.

I keep getting tagged by Seer Q even outside the graphic. Its hit box is wider than the graphic lmao. Also controller aim assist is loving nuts with the current prowler. Like easily two bursting people busted. A lot of top players are switching to controller because the assist is so strong. They really gotta tone that poo poo down.

I really really want a option to only play with PC players on K&M again, it's really annoying to wonder how you got melted instantly in a close up fight and then you see "oh they are a controller player" time and time again. It got so annoying my group has gravitated towards snipers just because controller aim assist doesn't help as much with that, it needs a nerf on crossplay or a way to opt out of crossplay.

His passive needs two changes to it to not just make it permanent bloodhound scan but better because it doesn't alert the other teams that they got scanned or even the direction of where they got scanned from. It needs to not work while aiming with guns. It needs a resource bar that takes time to refill like Gib/Valk. Optional change: players can hear their heartbeat faintly when a seer is looking at them, the robots get a pixelated filter for their sound. Honestly it really feels like they've dug themselves into a big old hole with Seer because the only clear way to balance him is to remove or decrease all that utility to barely anything, if only to make him not poo poo all over Crypto and BH They should have made him a silence champion
