Given the amount of people who desperately want to click heads and absolutely nothing else it's strange that arenas and Titanfall doesn't have a larger audience.

Seriously, if they cut the picking time in half and the inter-round delay by a factor of four, I'd play arenas 90% of the time, instead of 10.

I think BRs have to involve some amount of waiting around and busywork, because it's what sets up the uneven and variable experience when you get to the shooting parts. And I also think players tend to eventually ruin the experience by speedrunning the not-shooting parts and then wondering why they keep getting repetitive gameplay.

fucking clocks
how do they work?
Arena's suck for two reasons, which is setup time and how samey it feels. BR's for me are pretty much purely an experience in getting into fun gunfights in different, interesting places.

Titanfall is just full of hackers so er, gently caress that. I enjoyed it while I was playing it during the resurgence but yeah, shame about the playerbase.

Anyone have experience appealing a ban?
Got kicked out of the game this weekend with a "player is banned : banned" message while playing ranked.

Filled out the form on the EA website, got a "you have been banned for cheating" mail and a reply to my appeal just stating that they checked the account and that they confirm the ban.
No idea what triggered it.

Yeah there's weird account stealing stuff in this game and everyone should definitely use 2fa.

I think the thing that catches people out with this game in particular is the Origin/Steam split, since the move to Steam it's easy to forget that your Apex profile is still tied to Origin

Steam Guard isn't enough, you need to lock down your Origin account as well

ErKeL

Yeah my mate copped this when we moved to steam and had his origin account stolen.
You definitely want to do all you can to avoid it because they're real flogs about unbanning it. Took him nearly 2 months of requesting it before someone unblocked it. Got a free lootbox for the delay.

Try out Gibby. He fills the same niche of being able to safely res (way safer though) but is a lot more powerful generally right now. Bubble is probably the most game defining ability right now, his arm shield is great for winning trades, and his ult is a huge pressure in any team fight. Basically he'll let you live through things other champs can't, so you can spend more time playing and learning in those situations.

try bloodhound out too, so you can help better teammates every 30 seconds instead of when one of them goes down

Nice should get good at him. Have been rocked a few times by the bubbles already.

BH is pretty good, love the passive. I feel like his Qs are too obvious against good players, though. Need just the hardest crutch. Good point about medic roles in this game hmm..

Seer is a better spotter if you're new/bad IMO. Heartbeat lets you see if anyone's nearby without alerting them, scans last way longer, and the ultimate benefits your whole team.

What use had they for tricks and cunning, living in the enemy's warren and paying his price?

They are both pretty good, but Seer’s kamehameha is one of the best tacticals in the game.

I think Bloodhound is better for new players because the sonar is fire-and-forget while Seer needs to aim his kamehameha, and it’s harder to land on moving targets. It is much more useful for offensive pushes while Bloodhound’s “where is everyone” sonar pings are useful on offense and defense.

Bloodhound is still better overall I think mostly because of how fast you can move when ulted which is huge in short range fights.

i find seer's heartbeat sensor very difficult to use, shifting my attention to the little indicators seems to get me in trouble more than it helps my team.

I agree, but that's the thing -- a better player is going to be able to make much better use of Bloodhound's super mode.

I'm not sure how you're using it but how I use is to just quickly scan nearby buildings/areas. If no one's around, that itself is valuable information. If I see heartbeats, I ping "Enemy's been here" where it fully lights up. Don't spend too much time on it, keep moving.

The arenas maps also really do the mode no favors. The Lstar meta did the mode no favors either and in general they've been pretty slow to balance/anticipate imbalances in arenas.

That said Rampart's wrench is pretty swell and Octane's knife is pretty small, and if you want to complete the sweaty bald-wraith look you need the knife.

Be like me and leave 69 packs unopened. It's a funny number and also whenever someone watches me stream they get mad.
