Several times I *almost* manage to cap a point, my team is just about to back me up, but then the other team recaps in 3 seconds and spawns all over the place. It's not exactly motivating.

I decided to download this game on my PS5. Haven't played since, uh, season 3 I think? There are like 20 new legends that I still have to unloc, there are blue supply crates, "replicators', crafting etc? I don't know what all this stuff is lmao

Replicators are what they imply, big boxes that send out a beacon if you or someone is using them, to craft things not found in supply crates. It varies per day/week; you can only get certain items from crafting. As for new legends, Mirage is fun, Caustic is fun, Loba is amazing, and Revenant is fun as gently caress, and he can climb up pretty much anything.

Loba is boring and good if you're bad at looting hth. She's also got great fashion. Fuse is great if you love grenades, explosions and more explosions, Maggie is great if you love shotguns and unmitigated aggression, Mirage is the bestboozle. Honestly just go wild and have a blast, bunch of fun stuff in the game now.

I imagine it's been a growing market in general? Whatever small problems it may have aside gameplay wise the characters are good, movement is fun and the gun feel is real solid and satisfying. Also it's free, and the marketing for it has certainly been increasing. A number of hololive and nijisanji vtubers also play it on the regular so that's easy marketing there for the Japanese audience.

Loba is underrated, she isn't just for newbies who don't know how to loot, being able to roll into a town and immediately skip needing to run around to check what's there is a time saver and saving time in a BR can let you spend more time on positioning for the end game. Plus those late-game scenarios when you are running on empty and can loot a deathbox in the red, or when someones gun has one clip of ammo left and you can just spam click a few hundred into your inventory that was scattered around 5 buildings

loba is probably my second favourite to have in a teammate, not at all far behind lifeline. and the only game i have ever ratted out for extended periods with my teammates dead and won solo was with loba. but most of the time i use her teleport and are immediately slain, once to a final ring lol.

It used to be even better - the revive drone used to put up a bigger-than-a-knockdown shield that was also unbreakable. So much of Lifeline's power budget was wrapped up in that they toned it down.

This is awesome. Also there's a bow in the game now?? Just killed someone with it, pretty drat satisfying.

I thought she started out with the shield but needed to manually revive. Also good to know: if you get hit by the revenant ability you need to hold down the button and do a regular revive. the OG OG lifeline used to let you start the revive to get your shield up, line up your shot, cancel and fire on the same frame (and repeat if you wanted). it owned so much and was how i got my first wingman headshot clutch. memories <3

If you mouse over your currency in the upper right of the of the main lobby screen it'll show you how many you have. You get 600 per account level so you can unlock a new character every 20 levels or a gun recolor (assuming you have the base skin) every 18. They're also used to reroll daily challenges but the first reroll is always free.

Horizon as of right now is actually pretty balanced and is being picked quite often at high levels it seems. When some of the best pred squads are regularly running Horizon or Ash you know they're pretty worth it. Unrelated, I've gotten a lot better at the Bocek now that Control has come back, what with the ability to just slam pick unlimited arrows bow loadout and have as many lives as it takes to get good. I also think Shatter Caps is unironically good at close range, it's 77 damage vs the 60 which hits the white armor break point in two shots and destroys blue armors in 3. Unlocked Ash because I had a cool banner pose for her (aka the best reason to choose a champion imo) and I like that throwing lasso thing she has. Definitely caught a few players off guard when I tethered them to the ground. Still trying to figure out the effective range of her void warp though. And the death box thing too.

Winning in Control IMO is all about capturing the enemy home base and holding it for long enough that your team can capture B. If your team is so incompetent they can't take B despite you keeping keeping half the enemies stuck at home for 1-2 minutes however I just consider it a lost cause.

It doesn’t care if your destination is 62 meters horizontally and 100 meters up, or 62 meters horizontally and on flat ground.
