Over the last couple weeks I've noticed a lot more people doing armor crafting at the replicator, like significantly more up from basically never. Did something happen to popularize it?

I've been really lucky with armor drops so far this season.My craft priority is usually bats > anything else.

Shield batteries and ammo are my backups if there's no attachments for any weapons I already have, but armor crafting takes priority sometimes if I don't have inventory space and am still stuck on white armor.

Backpack > batteries > magazines > medkits > armor upgrade. I'd rather just kill my way to better clothes than waste all the craftbux on them.

White armor is such a huge disadvantage that upgrading is probably the most impactful thing you can do to win your next fight. Stuff like batteries are good but much more speculative. In addition, vantage is everywhere, can see you have white armor, and can two tap you.

White knockdowns definitely don't spawn on the ground, and I don't think helmets do either? I've only ever seen them as the result of someone upgrading from white and leaving them behind.

I've definitely seen them both on the ground or in supply bins before for sure, and I usually land further away from the main drops so I see quite a lot of them at the start.

The car goes down in value for not having the laser sight slot but the versatility still makes it worth it to pick up imo.

yeah with an across the board hipfire nerf on smgs and the car being the odd one out for barrel stab or laser sights it's niche is now entirely how flexible it is ammo and mag type wise. Bit more damage too per bullet but it feels a bit less oppressive.

Talking about oppressive, PK is the most oppressive gun in the game (a PK with no attachments beats any fully kitted gun in the game at close range), but noone seems to care.

Gonna disagree with you on that bud, the carepackage Mastiff exists at the moment. Also tbh the Eva after the buffs is looking kinda disgusting and I hate it. PK wins peek wars though, no argument there.

The new Exo with kit deletes people. I needed a purple bolt and stock but having seen a Timmy video I made sure to try it and I just wiped multiple teams with it. Shotguns are back!

Shotguns were never gone, the Eva is back and I hate it. The nightmare of one person just blasting your squad down in .5 seconds as they somehow land every pellet perfectly

Yeah, I was specifically thinking of peek wars in my head when I made the last post. But if you aren't using a peek and shoot style with PK, you aren't using the PK correctly. And like you said, it just doesn't get beat in that style of fight, which is kind of ridiculous considering it's a ground loot weapon. I had just white armor, but still, I land 3 skill shots on him and get defeated by just one RNG shot (I guess he hit me in the head? Never got full downed by just one PK shot before that)

My assertion is that the PK is not the best gun in the game without attachments, but it's certainly the strongest in its niche.
