I would of never made a couple smurf accounts if not for the bad take over events and even the season split can mess up queuing for ranked in a buggy way, the game thinks you are still ranked whatever you were before the season split deranking until you play one game, so what happened to me and a group of friends yesterday is we invited a friend who didn't play the new split yet and when we queued into ranked it promptly kicked us all and gave us a 10 minute time penalty for our trouble and THEN wouldn't let us queue up again because of rank differences despite everyone's displayed rank being correct for it. tldr: remove the 1 rank queue difference for friend groups in ranked.

I clutched a few 1v2s and still died at -4rp or whatever so I couldn’t “derank”. Finally I split off from my team and hid in a corner until I was positive. Really annoying.

Uhhh I was in the middle of an unranked game and I got disconnected with a message saying I'd been banned. Except I've not got an email about it and I can still log in, but I can't group with my friends. Haven't tried a solo game yet though, so I'm not sure if I can play, but something funky is going on. Anyone had this before?

Unfortunately you almost certainly won’t be able to craft these. They only offer that option when the cosmetics in question are part of the “collection” during a Collection Event, and this isn’t one. Collection Events are the ones with event-specific apex packs and a new heirloom you can unlock if you get them all, like the recent Chaos Theory event.

Looks like the upcoming lifeline changes have been revealed, no more shield on the drone revive, 60% faster drone healing, care packages now guarantee upgrades in loot quality. I like it, just get rid of low profile and we're golden.

Getting rid of the revive shield is a huge nerf, jesus. Like I feel like I'd rather have the shield than the free revive that makes the recipient extremely vulnerable and really easy to hit as they slowly rise up into a standing position. It's probably justified, but man, that sucks.

The current form is pretty OP since it creates a barrier with no damage limit. So instead of just being a free rez, it also creates a cover advantage. Maybe it would be more balanced to keep the shield but make it use your knock down shield.

Honestly it might not even be a nerf in some situations, that shield is a massive "COME THIRST/GRENADE ME" alert. Without the shield you can tag people who crawled into a corner or under cover and they'll have a higher chance of being able to pop up and heal.

Yet to group with a Lifeline that's put the shield up in the right orientation so that it faces towards where gunfire might come from so its no huge loss God, I really need to not get downed as much.

Yeah was kinda thinking this too, the current lifeline revive pretty much guarantees you get aped if you’re against a good squad. If you just revive around a corner now like most fights it’s still a plus AND now the drone is that much better. Her care package isn’t that great either. One rework I remember hearing for her that sounded interesting was making her ulti bring back her fast heals for the whole team for a set period of time (probably when connected to the drone). I think that would improve her without being too broken.

I play with a good lifeline and that shield is very, very good. Taking it away for faster drone healing and guaranteed loot upgrades isn't even close to a fair trade. She's getting dumpstered.

Absolutely. Her ult charges slow unless you drop a cold capacitor on Kings Canyon, so by the time she gets it you'll probably already have the upgrades you need. Healing drone, even if it heals faster, is not a combat ability and has a massive cooldown on it regardless. I've partly mained Lifeline since launch and losing her shield really, really ruins her. Yes, it is strong but it is basically the only strong thing about her. Everything else in her kit, even with these changes, are underpowered. Been really unlucky lately with their nerfs. Caustic has been hit super hard and now Lifeline. Hope they will give some love to Revenant. Otherwise I'm just going to have to find a new main.

Fast drone is a combat ability in the sense that if you get beamed you can just heal quicker and join the fight sooner than if you had to pop a Phoenix or a batt and a med kit. Now you’re basically at full health after popping a batt. Also you prob don’t need to carry any red heals anymore. The shield was kinda nice but as others said it was just a signal to every team that you need to push this team because they have a lifeline. If you’re playing in a relatively skilled lobby against 3 stacks the other team would just see it and rush immediately. Either way if your main role is reviving teammates then Gibby is probably who you should be using anyhow. His bubble is better than the lifeline shield, not to mention his other abilities make him better. I don’t think this change drastically shifts the character meta either way. Improving her ultimate drastically could shift this but for whatever reason they’re dead-set on her being Loba lite in that regard. If someones downed you're still getting pushed anyway. The only time the shield is a big "come hit me" sign any more than a usual down is in a big squad fight situation. Even then, your protection is the other squads in the area. They can't run at you if another squad is watching.

It’s way more difficult to push a Gibby bubble after/through his ult, especially with his quicker revive in bubble. Lifeline’s shield you just throw a nade next to it and the person is right back on the mat and is much easier to rush because she doesn’t also have an ultimate that can be used as a deterrent. Not saying lifeline shield wasn’t somewhat useful, I used it similar to a Gibby bubble for fights, but I could maybe see quick drone heals being more useful overall. I guess we’ll see.

Look at how they massacred my girl.  I mean, even before it was an auto revive, her shield was like, the best thing she had going for her, no wait, she used to heal faster as well.  I'm glad I've gone from all Lifeline all the time to split between her and Rampart, because while Rampart isn't all that useful, she is fun.This doesn't sound useful or fun!

Most people aren't going to be able to nade you when getting rezzed behind it unless they have a good high ground spot above you in which case you're probably hosed anyway.

Pulled a hell of an accidental bamboozle earlier. Got third partied on the lil' shack atop the big Arsenal buildings and bulldozed through. One team-mate leaves and I'm expecting them to figure out that I had a Gold Drop Shield so I get up to get a drink... Only to come back and realise they haven't, they think I've D/Ced or something and left me alone. I rez myself, use a PK then catch them off guard dicking around with a Black Market. Rez my buddy with a Mobile Beacon and manage to go on to top 2. Couldn't stop smirking like a doofus. Also dittoing that Lifeline's ult sucks, just a big ol' WE'RE HERE SHOOT US button, the occasional Gold Sniper sights don't make up. Couldn't tell you what I'd change it to though.

I swear to god everytime I get some complete dipshit pubby who tries to land hot they somehow get beat by 4+ squads to the exact same spot. I might as well just quit before I even land. Can’t even blame ppl who quit after being downed in those situations, it’s not that hard to not completely screw up a hot drop and yet they manage to do the dumbest thing possible other than flying off the loving map.

Just make the shield have 150 HP, easy, now if it gets sustained fire it still helps out but it's not an infinite damage sponge. It also indirectly makes LMGs a little bit better by letting their huge clip damage potential actually mean something (outside of being good for scrubs like me because I can't hit my shots).

To be fair as a relatively recent new idiot, the game gives you the basic training thing, but at no point tells you anything about flying/falling and how that controls.

Yeah dropping is a weird one. Messing up a hotdrop pretty much dooms your entire team to death but there is no real indication or instruction on how to do it properly. Some extremely bad players on today. 3 out of 3 games I had my first teammate go down instantly, then I'd knock 2/3 and go down, and then our third would lose the 1v1 to the dude with no shield and half health. Man... it was frustrating.
