I'm extremely hype for Arenas. I love the movement and shooting in Apex but I hate all the downtime in BRs. I just want to shoot mans. Feels like there's a real shortage of TDM games lately.

Lol I just lost a match because of a reason so silly I had to post about it. I died just inside of the boundary of ring, and resurrected myself by holding the key down, while spamming the heal key. But I was also on top of a zipline, so holding down the key to rez myself immediately made me jump onto the zipline, out of the ring, killing myself.

I wonder if the Wingman will still be able to take the Quickdraw Holster on top of the built-in Skullpiercer. I like Quickdraw on it way more, the faster swap and ADS time is very strong.

Yeah, I feel like the hitting animation should reset when you're getting shot (or after taking a certain amount of damage). If you can duck and weave the shots, you deserve the melee kill. But just tanking half a magazine without flinching while windmilling like a drunk hooligan and scoring a kill feels wrong in so many ways. It will be pretty interesting to see how the new arena works out. It seemed to include a shop/economy system like CS/Valorant. That could make it pretty competitive if they balance it properly. Edit: Looks like you have to actually buy ammo for your skills in the arena, so you can't just spam them. This might feel a lot more involved and competitive than some people will enjoy, but to me, it sounds great. I just hope their matchmaking is decent and doesn't prioritise speed over match quality. If i'm shooting at a person who is punching me I often have to calm myself down, focus, and shoot my enemy in the head and body. That or get some distance on them and then shoot them in the head and body.

In the long run, it doesn't. Unless youre talking about a 2 second windup punch doing more damage than 1 bullet fired from a gun that can spit out 10+ in less than a second.

I'm going to sound so spergy right now, but the force of a bullet impact is extremely low and practice shooting soft targets its extremely hard to tell if I've hit it or not. Gunshot reactions are largely a mental construct, unless an animal has been shot through the heart or the brain it's going to an uncomfortably long time before that creature gives up the ghost. 3030 getting shatter caps is great because when it was introduced I said how much I'd like it to have a shotgun mode It's gonna be a super versatile weapon now because close quarters was where it struggled, like the G7

Did 2 games in Apex for my star yesterday and played a little Overwatch. I haven't played that in a year. Goddamn it is hard to relearn finger controls between games.

I think the complaint is that this is a competitive mode rather than a more chill "just w key and shoot" mode. Like, a 15 v 15 (or whatever, but it should be comically large to diffuse responsibility) death match, race to X kills, server refill for replacing people who drop out. FWIW Valorant has a couple of these modes and I think deathmatch gets old quickly but its a pleasant distraction. I think people really love the arms race equivalent. It would be stupid easy to put dumb bots in the game for a pve horde mode or something for when you just want to chill out and click on stuff. The fact that bots in the firing range are locked behind an extremely obscure easter egg is incredibly baffling to me.
