Starting to enjoy the Boeck post-nerf. Feels a lot more balanced while still very strong, but I reckon having heavy drop and better audiovisual feedback would make it perfect. poor sentinel

The whole loot pool and placement is complete dogshit right now. Spots that usually had 2-3 items just have one and it's lovely attachments most of the time. Went through two whole buildings to pick up a Mozambique.

arena allows you to make observations on the other teams behaviour and as such make reads. we won one today in part because I noticed their caustic was playing suuuuuper out of position early on and could pass that on so our roamer (well, looter, w/e) so he could punish with a flank. missed that in battle royale mode in hindsight.

Where do people like dropping in World's Edge? Also, is ranked ever going to not be on that map, or does it seem pretty set in stone? My impression is kings canyon is RIP'd, but maybe Olympus is competitive enough?

It's certainly a better urban POI than either side of Fragment imo despite the similar layouts. Other than that, either Staging/Countdown/Launch Site. Honestly finding a lot of World's Edge games where we skid around the wilderness between areas desperately trying to find fights, way more than KC or Olympus. That said, I do hope they have some more updates and takeovers in the works for Olympus because I'm starting to get pretty tired of it.

Hardly anyone lands lava fissure and it's pretty quick to run through and loot a lot of loot spawns and then rotate to either countdown, beast trials or just looting random buildings into the circle.

This has been my experience too, I've been doing pretty well in arenas and feeling more confident with the movement and shooting, so I went back to try a few games of BR and I just have no loving clue what's going on in there. it's like other teams materialize out of thin air sometimes. one nice change is I now have a couple of ideal load outs that I'll look for, I didn't really know the guns that well before but with arenas you get lots of opportunity to learn.

Yeah I wish they would edit the dialogue down a bit. I felt the same about the animatic a little while ago that was foreshadowing this Wraith-Bangalore confrontation.

I'll take a 2x over a 3x 100% of the time. A 2x is the perfect mid range optic because it still works perfectly well in closer engagements. The 3x is just a bit too much for me.

It has good hipfire for close-range and the Anvil Receiver makes it a good plink gun for mid-range which is what the 3x excels at. I don't really like 3x on any other gun outside maybe Spitfire or the Bocek.

Now that it's been out longer what's everyone's Arenas loadout? I usually go g7+frag the first round, and then either upgraded g7 or r301 second round depending on how much money we got first round. Shield battery and a drag every round after the first. Ideal is a maxed r301 and I always get an EVA8 if I can afford it as a secondary. For the new map I get an LStar instead of G7

G7 is my #1 favorite weapon but it sucks in arena. The iron sights are awful and you need to upgrade it to at least blue to get a good scope so it ends up being way too expensive. Dunno if I'm way behind meta but I basically just buy a cheap level 1 weapon and a Moz then spend the rest on abilities and grenades.

lstar mozambique until we have a significant material advantage then l star and something else depending on how they're playing - PK if they're aggressive and maybe a scout or flatline if they're being cautious. use the spare on heals and gold backpack cause i exclusively play lifeline in that mode. lstar i genuinely think is undercosted - you can get to blue 2x, which is the highest magnification level, very easily. it also comes with more than enough ammo to fight three people so you can use it to spam suppressing fire, keep people pinned down when your roamer is trying to regroup with you, keep people off your lifeline rezes, etc etc. mozambique with a level one bolt is what, 50 or something stupid like that? e: level 0 mozambique is literally free

Yeah I might try something else but I've always been partial to semi-automatic guns in shooters. The plink damage is really good in a round where most people don't buy heals. If the fight moves in close it sucks though, especially when I switch to my secondary and realize I forgot to get a moz.
