Detroit Mercy legend Willie Green could be the Pels next coach. Longtime Bud assistant Charles Lee is also in contention

Pelicans should try and trade for Beal.

But if they can’t make it happen, then they should see if they can get Russ for about half the price.

They would have an easier time getting Cade. Curious if Detroit would even consider a trade centered around BI.

Also, the Pels are apparently making it known that they are not going to match a significant contract if one is offered to Lonzo. Which, duh.

Sexton would make a lot of sense for the Knicks, they were the first team that jumped out to me as one who could use him and also might have stuff the Cavs could be interested in getting back.

Isaiah Todd only working out for lottery teams is, uh, optimistic though I also have no idea why Utah would be trying to work him out in the first place. Please hire me to run the draft, Ryan Smith.

What would the advantage be for that? Other teams might be more likely to make an offer if they figure he's what they need, but if none do make a sizable offer, it just insults him for no reason. It's essentially telling their player to gently caress off, but in a really passive aggressive way.

The exact quote is:

New Orleans is unlikely to match a significant offer sheet on Ball, sources said.

Sounds more like it's from the agent than the team.

Sexton would fit in NO I'd think. Fit between BI, him and Zion would be interesting but I think it would work especially if you had Sexton run the 2nd unit himself a lot more. And if his market rate is higher than you'd like to pay, well you get 1 more year than Lonzo before he walks.

I think Lonzo is better than most people on this board do but I don't see what Cleveland would really do with him.

Trading BI for a guard just makes to much sense, so naturally Griffon won’t do it.

I'm not putting all my faith in fan blog reporting but two young second draft guys and a first seems like around what Sexton's worth. It's not like they'd want to trade him for a vet

They won't but for some reason people think oh x team has so many picks they should just go get the guy while never thinking if anyone would accept the offer.

The two young guys are awful and their best pick is 19

They would not and definitely not for Brandon Ingram and a bunch of picks that may be in the 20s. But writers are bored and need copy so somehow the number 1 pick being on the block has become a thing.
