Oh hey, if I steal a dropped enemy gun in hazard mode and escaped, do I keep it or get the cash it's worth? Just had a very quick successful smash and grab and extracted with a sniper rifle I didn't bring in, and don't want to start another match just to test it myself.

Dozer will be infinitely useful once he gets his shield back so he can give people a chance to break through the elevator campers on roof points. Hackerman is only useful against vehicles since he can disable both their weapons and countermeasures for a few seconds leaving them open. His infantry hack though...well I've only managed to get the combo off twice and the spotting range is so short it's useless. Just make him a dedicated vehicle hacker, make it maybe do a bit more or last longer and leave Paik to have all the wallhacks. Ballistic shields are always a gimmick they can be a funny gimmick they just are only very rarely useful. And if all the specialists were similarly niche (dozer gets real hosed because of map design) it would be whatevers. But a handful of specialists are just good at.... everything?

Not sure why I decided to check out the reddit sub/thread ? for this game but its just constant crying and negativity. The sheer outrage over software. Incredible. Glad I don’t browse reddit that often but jesus christ those people seem to have their self worth tied to video games

I'm baffled how anyone is actually playing this game. Every game I've joined everything just starts sliding around, bullets don't do any damage, getting de-synced, and then everyone will float into the sky. Usually my 'head' leaves my body and I can see my limbless, headless torso floating behind me. And then it will disconnect me from the server. Sometimes Portal games will work for a while though, but eventually I get disconnected. I figured this was just Dice bullshit server problems but it seems like others are playing the game. I'm so loving confused. I do get 'UNKNOWN ERROR//2:2600J' error notification every time I boot up the game. Don't know what the gently caress it means but I'm wondering if its connected. I don't think there is anything wrong on my end seeing as how every other game works fine, but what do I know. I did Google it and somebody said changing your DNS server to Google might fix it. wtf is this bs

I dont think you need to be particularly ~Reddit~ to have a strong negative reaction to this game. I'm finding my fun where I can, but I have friends who've already refunded because their experience has been absolute poo poo. 128 player Breakthrough is garbage, the squad stuff is as barebones as it can be, there's no platoon support, Portal's been repeatedly turbo-hosed at times, there's huge amounts of jank, everything to do with unlocks and attachments is designed by people who've never tried to play a videogame before, and the gunplay is wildly inconsistent.

Yeah it kinda sucks from a "sense of community" stand point but when I popped back into BFV to do some comparison work and the entire round was nothing but two idiots bitching at each other for using vehicles (in a battlefield game) and other generic rage comments, I wondered if that's what it was really only about; a 1k+ comment thread all about how they COULDN'T do that anymore, even for the briefest of moments because you know for a fact DICE is going to turn it on again for the Day 1 patch. Of course it was. Let alone the scoreboard, like god drat Tribes 2, literally the best game ever created only had one for the end round screen, didn't see us literally rant hours on end about how it was a conspiracy to "coddle casuals" or whatever it is.

Maybe it's because of the environments but this game doesn't look as good as the previous few games. Not even BF4. I've only played the co-op botmode. Am I actually unlocking attachments etc. to use in real multi? If so I do like that at least. But can't say it's holding my interest as I played 2 games of Conquest and quit both early because BF Conquest is still boring. Thankful it's only the gamepass trial. If Hazard Mode doesn't grab me I think I'm gonna pass on this one.

I could be completely wrong, but I feel like V and 2042 are really blurry. I think it's something to do with TAA, but once you get out to like maybe 150m or something, details smudge together. Granted I am playing at 1080p, but I just didn't experience this in 1, and while 1 was better than 4, 4 was still better than this for clarity. Casper is super useful if you have a team willing to actually play an objective (instead of camping at the back going for sniper headshots to add to their poo poo rear end YT mix tape nobody is going to watch). If your team is okay, it makes a huge difference having 1 or 2 dedicated spotters lighting everybody up with a big red hexagon. Also hitting the tanks as they try to advance is great because half the time the drivers just haul rear end in reverse and take themselves out of the fight. Keep doing it and it's a 50/50 chance they just become tankwookies, taking up a vehicle spot. The worst is when you're attacking, you light up the enemy team, and then realize 80% of your team is doing the aforementioned shitass YT mix thing. This seems to happen every time you're attacking on the snow map. God drat I hate battlefield sometimes, I don't know why everybody wants to be a sniper. At least amongst the millennials and up I can understand the Pvt. Jackson thing, but there hasn't been any kind of popular media about BAD rear end SNIPER MAN in a long rear end time, and yet somehow all the kids just want to snipe. I've found Boris to be useful as defenders on breakthrough India (Deserted? Can't remember the name). Putting up a turret in any of the nooks and crannies, especially in the second phase, must have gotten me 10+ kills while I camped next to it with an lmg and shot people who engaged the turret. Of course against an organized squad it's going to be far less useful, but the pubbie mass will absolutely die to the turret / be spotted by it and then die. Granted, Boris does seem to be more of a spot situation specialist rather than the kind of broadly good-to-excellent specialist that Angel is.

having a blast playing the game still, no issues today. really liking specialists, I can have a machine gun, rocket launcher, revive people, and drop ammo/armor to people. I don't have to handicap myself or depend on other people's awareness to shoot tanks

Poop-socked my way to Lvl25 so I've unlocked Paik. Wall-hack ability is defintely not as unbalanced as pictured, there is so much chaos going around don't really notice the highlights, and the range is incredibly short which is so situational due to how large the maps are. It's a submarine sonar ping style.
