Dunno, seems to me that the vtuber thread was just destined to fail. Both the posters and the mods didn't seem very chill in what should (in my mind) be a stupid thread about watching a bunch of people pretending to be anime idiots while playing video games. I just wanted a place to find links to funny vtuber stuff. Oh well, at least there is a bunch of good clippers to follow.

My apologies if reporting the people who were responding to be more egregious shitposting was causing stress. (Though most of them showed as already reported and I'm not sure anything written actually gets through as an attachment to the original report in that case?) My line of thinking was just just that it's as much threadshitting to respond to the posts instead of ignoring them and that maybe if probes were handed out for that too the hangers on and the people who couldn't help themselves might get the message. It's too bad that people who do not seem to have the capacity to not equate enjoying something with wanting to gently caress it can bully the thread off by making posts far worse than anything going on in the thread, but I'm sympathetic to the fact that doing something more substantial was blocked at a higher level.

If there was a group of users who deliberately made a thread unusable with the intent to crash it into the ground I would probably remove them from the forum instead of giving them what they wanted, but I look forward to having drivebys decide which threads people can post in.

In a thread that should be like funny clips or links to streams that aren’t fetish tier lists, we got epic speculation about rushia’s mental health instead.

I'll be honest and say that the "lol everyone who watches vtubers is a sex weirdo" stuff that was said in complete sincerity was really bad. There was people being weird about it and they were rightfully made fun of, but it veered into like a trueism that a lot of people on this site genuinely believed 100% and that was pretty bad. Just overall not a good environment for a thread on the topic.
