originally got a quote for landscaping that was gonna be like, $25,000 - that was complete soil and sod of our yard and i was like, umm, no asked our friends cousin who did theirs and we're doing soil and sod front yard, side and around the deck plus putting new black gravel/slag for the driveway and around the left side of the house - $9800 insanity on how much much cheaper it is, almost cried with how much ill be saving as i budgeted for around 12,000 so now we can get whatever blinds we want with extra money for whatever Vintersorg fucked around with this message at 15:07 on Jun 10, 2022 |

cjs: jobsearch has been a lot more fruitful over the past several weeks, i may be at a turning point on actually getting an offer for something i really want to do. did a post-interview french evaluation phone call this morning and absolutely loving nailed it. i made some educated guesses in my prep for the week of notice i had to work with. each guess was bang on. have a post-interview call with hr/recruitment on tuesday. gonna be a good weekend

it's an agency retained by the employer so I guessed if I just focused on translating and saying aloud my interview prep questions/materials in French for an hour a day every day for a week, that would cover the substance of the call. it did. I also made a table in notes.app with vocab I tend to use in English but that I'm rusty on in French, alphabetized it, and had it onscreen while on the call as a fallback. didn't really use it but the exercise helped shore up my weaknesses.
