Jodorowski's Dune would've been a mess. Its probably best left as an aspirational almost-memory for all dune fans tbh.

I watched Surf Ninjas yesterday, a film I loved as a little kid. I remembered Rob Schneider was in it but forgot that Leslie Nielsen was the villain. It was terrible in a fun, nostalgic way.

I thought it was much more visually interesting than the newer one. I hadn't noticed how much the modern version tried to make absolutely everyone hot and jacked, and even tech which shouldn't be, shiny and chrome. Pacing was still whack. It's interesting who the different films put as their main focus.

That said, it felt like I'd been assigned Dune for a class and this was the cliffnotes version.

Also I slept through the final 5th, so I guess I have to go back to that.

Pot Smoke Phoenix: Smoke 'em if you gottem!

I watched "Atlas" on Netflix last night.

It's a movie about the dangers of AI. JLo's mother was a scientist who was working on a way to interface human brains to an AI bot, but in a one way manner, meaning the human can control the AI bot, but not the other way around.

What could possibly go wrong?

The AI bot can go full blown anti-human terrorist, that's what!

JLo finds her way onto the mission to retrieve the escaped AI terrorist bot, and manages to find a way to showcase her magnificent Fly Girls OG booty at the end as well.

I enjoyed it overall.

i watched a french movie called bigbug about people getting trapped in their apartments by their robot helpers and it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize it was about the covid lockdowns. it's kinda all over the place (french) and horny in an interesting way (french)
