i watched late night with the devil. it was enjoyable, the mockumentary/lost media/whatever it is format worked better than i might've supposed. still, i was left wishing some parts had been expanded upon more, others could've been dropped altogether or diminished, and maybe one of the tangential directions they pass taken somewhere along the way. |

We watched Star Wars Episode One on Friday and it sucks so much poo poo. The pacing is pretty wild if you ignore that the first third is skipable

The new Wallace and Grommet is very good

I watched Deadpool and Wolverine and it was definitely the worst one. Why'd they ditch all the fun side characters from the first two? ---------------- |

i watched the wave. just about as confusing as you'd want a movie about tripping to be, but still kind of ties things together by the end. |

Body Melt. It's a weird gooey early 90s horror/comedy movie. Pretty great soundtrack and the whole thing is on youtube.

i saw space sweepers. it was alright, but could've been condensed considerably: eg. the tomato selling scene seemed totally irrelevant and detached. |

That Tom Green documentary on amazon prime. He made it himself and it was pretty masturbatory. I don't recommend. |

impostor, a philip k. dick adaptation that deals with the question of identity: if someone told you you were a mimic implanted with the memories of who you think you are, how would you prove it one way or the other? |

con air which I expected to be horrible, like so bad it's good but it was actually ok (only ok) with a lot of real dumb, cheesy shenanigans going on

watched spaceballs. it was good, but i think naming one of the major characters 'barf' was just too lowbrow for me. spent the entire time he was on screen shaking my head disapprovingly

Ye. Very silly stuff when you even glance at the cultural context of the film. Never stop fighting against oppression and subjugation... Eh, unless it's against us... It's ok if we do it. Like... It's God's plan when we do it. |

i'm thinking of ending things. thematically rich, about eg. the horror of getting old, and loneliness. seeing some of the conversations about it, having read the book would seem to help figure out the plot, but it wasn't so important for me to have everything make sense. |
