I rewatched it a while back, it's 2.5 hours and I figured I'd be checking my phone a lot but it sucked me right in. Hadn't seen it since I was a kid.

Grisly II: The Revenge - if you like Jaws ripoffs, this is certainly one with a surprisingly large amount of good actors doing some of their worst work. It is almost worth sitting through just for the "wtf ok that happened" ending.

Watching the human centipeded and guys, i dont think this 'scientist' knows what a centipede is

Hot Shots: Part Deux - It struck me hard that Lloyd Bridges, deliberately trying to be a farcical goofball, would be a more respectable president than anything we've had in the past decade. The movie is an interesting time capsule of last-century American views on the Middle East and war in general. I'd say Part 1 aged better and was funnier in general, but this had it's moments. I'll watch anything with Miguel Ferrer.

Finger Prince

Rogue One. After finishing Andor season 2, it feels really haphazard and chaotic after the long, slow, deliberate burn of the tv series. The series is definitely the better side of the coin. I would love to see a version of Rogue One that was rewritten and informed by Andor.

Watched the Hot Shots duology yesterday and it held up pretty well. Lloyd Bridges was great in the Leslie Nielsen role and I still wish they’d gotten Cary Elwes back for Part Deux.

i watched megazone 23. some nice oldschool animation - especially the first-person views were impressive. couldn't quite figure out all of the plot, but oh well. it has two sequels, which i guess i'll also watch.

tonight's movie was evita. great acting performances, and an interesting historical story.

It was so fuckin funny hearing he was cast in the new Nosferatu but not as Olaf

I watched Newsferatu just now, and I was glad to see him again. Also Bill Skarsgård might be my favourite of those guys, he can really disappear into a role.

garzey's wing

Vitamin Me

Just saw the Batman..tuned out in the last half hour, too long, too much nonsensical action after a pretty entertaining thriller bit

E.T. - I haven't seen this since I was a kid. The government agents were...not as unreasonable in this as I remembered.

Manitou’s Shoe - was the highest-grossing German comedy ever. It’s basically wall-to-wall homophobic jokes and casual racism, which was peak “hilarious” in 2001 Germany.

0/10, would not recommend.

HELLOMYNAMEIS___

i watched megazone 23 part II, the first of two sequels. i have to admit i understood even less of the plot than with the first one, but the animation was enjoyable (they don't make 'em like this any more), and it's easy to see how this has influenced the later akira.

HELLOMYNAMEIS___

i watched m3gan 2.0. the plot was a bit too bouncy, and it had more focus on action than really exploring the questions, but it was alright.

went to sleep watching denis leary's standup special, "no cure for cancer". i remember finding this the funniest poo poo when i was a kid and It Does Not Hold Up. is this just what standup is... cringe garbage for children despite the subject matter being firmly adult...? i feel so disillusioned
