i get paying a lot for clothes that you can't get anywhere else. vollebak, acrnm, etc have some of that iirc, but also trade in the "we make cool expensive stuff, so we'll also sell you a normal thing whose distinguishing feature is that it costs a lot" market

i picked up a couple shenzhen special jackets this week and like them a lot. build quality is good. "sadly" i lost 30-35 lbs since i last bought clothes from the bezos bazaar so got everything a size too big, but that's not a bad problem to have, i'll just toss a cute sweater on underneath

thanks! feelin pretty good and i can see a path to a body shape that i'm actually somewhat satisfied with. the goal is to be able to replace all my moto riding gear in the spring, and that poo poo is not cheap, so i want to make it count. my first suit of gear was dadbike fatgear and i don't care for it anymore. although i'm not gonna be able to rock a dainese onesie, we'll be close to that

if it is cold enough you won't need the waterproofing, and if it is wet enough you won't need the warmth so basically it seems to me like it's the SUV of jackets
