All of MS.com’s comments are either racist attacks on Hamilton or yelling at RedBull and Honda for cheating. They are all pretty rabid Alonso fans as well, so the previous 2 make sense.

Guys I don’t know how legit this Andretti-GM deal is. From the article; “If we get in, in 2025, there won’t be a new engine yet, so we would have to go with a formula that is used now, but in 2026 there are various things we can do with another engine manufacturer. It would not be a badged engine, because there would be intellectual property from Cadillac in that engine, so that is not a badged engine.” What the gently caress does that even mean lol.

I bet that's the biggest problem for Andretti, regardless of all his talk to the contrary. Okay, second biggest, because the root problem is the contempt F1's European masters have for Andretti and GM. No, it does not matter that an American private equity group owns the commercial rights.

Sir Seb has retired and Sir Lewis is not the reigning champion and it is unclear what his chances of winning races/championships will be in the future, having a not dominant Mercedes to drive. Part of what was going on when the FIA/F1 caved before was the politics of power. Sir Lewis was perceived to have power because he won lots of races. That is now not the case. In the vacuum of morality that incubates the elite institutions of motorsport, might makes right. Power justifies itself. And now Sir Lewis (pbuh) the most moral of drivers finds himself in a weaker position. About 1,990 years ago another of God's most righteous children found Himself in a similar position relative to the mortal human powers around him. As did He, so will Sir Lewis triumph ultimately over the transient powers of evil (FIA/F1) who sit on their own earthly thrones today. We each must consider our own relationship to God's own Truth in this situation (read: you need to root for Sir Lewis at every race) and think of the moral state of our own eternal souls. Still He rises.

In those cases the FIA/F1 made slight PR moves to chastise Sir Lewis and Sir Seb on behalf of racists and homophobes worldwide, and were immediately met with strongly negative responses from the public or from others in media. The FIA/F1 caved in those cases -- in a way that I would be tempted to call cowardly but I'm not sure if that's the right word for it because they were terrorized into doing the right thing and only did the right thing out of fear and I'm just not sure what language is best to describe that moral position of theirs based on their intent and ultimate actions. It's the only correct choice

Active Suspension would help with porpoising, but I know driving aids (![]() I propose a compromise; You get to keep the sequential gearbox but must use standard springs/dampers, and no electronic aids. Or you can use electronic aids but it requires the use of an H-Pattern box.

It was real cool when Renault had figured out the frequency for the timing lights and connected that into launch control. Supposedly. ArmZ posted:f1 still holds the death record For real. And (IMO) too much of the discussion around the NFL player who had cardiac arrest on the field feels like what has happened in racing before - trying to understand the balance of ‘what can be changed for safety’ versus ‘freak issues you can’t legislate for.’
