I dunno I get what you're saying but Miami Vice it kinda worked for the film cause it gave it that late 90s/early 00s TV men's magazine segment vibe. I get why it would be off putting though. The Miami vice film was alright but it really is a lame imitation of the first two seasons of the show.

Didn't David Lynch shoot a whole film on MiniDV or some poo poo, he doesn't seem to catch nearly as much poo poo for that as he should've considering he was yelling about watching movies on a phone just years later

RIP Jabouille. I didn’t realize he was 80. The first man in the modern era to win in a turbo car (that he also had a hand in designing). 6 poles, 2 wins and 4th place and he retired 81% of the time lol. Which I suppose he also was at fault for.
