I’ll defend GW here because hers is pretty much my reasoning too, there just isn’t enough info day 1 to make it better than a coin flip whether the kill is town or scum, but the idea is to generate enough interaction during the day that people can examine the known town/scum result and make further reads based on it. If you don’t have a day 1 kill then day 2 is just relitigating day 1 but with the scum one death closer to victory.

Votefinder with bar graphs now? That's pretty sexy.

Anyway, how is Infinitum scummy? They're engaged, their logic is making sense, and they aren't doing anything that is especially divergently scummy right now.

In fact, the best thing for scum to do is to NOT make arguments and let town flounder around and make arguments. First I'm scummy, now infinitum is scummy? I would posit that people who aren't engaged in the thread right now are the most scummy of all, but I do think that at least one flip to see what happens in the night would really kick things off the most.

Regardless, of all people who are actively posting, I think Keats and Binus are the most scum-leaning in my purview, but it's obviously far too early to go off of much more than the vibes.

Hello yes I heard there was a lovely trainwreck here and...

hmmm

Keats being the only elimination with a solid lead is odd if he's scum unless his scumbuds have decided he's unsalvageable (which would be impressive considering that mostly only tends to happen to people who get caught from night bingo or slipped hard). On the other hand I don't have a single stronger standout read than him, most everybody else is feeling pretty neutral in terms of present content.

That said, I'm thinking about the people who are blending with the background a bit too well considering the potential that the reason we have no heavy pushback on this is because no scum's name has been seriously thrown around yet. Background reads are really fuckin tricky to catch and explain to people who haven't seen them in action, but I could see it being toal, Josef, and/or taste. I'm good with giving Josef more pressure under the circumstances and being a backup +1 vote on Keats if needed. ##vote Josef

Days without voted flips are days where scum entirely controls what information is released. There is a reason people vote against their preferences to avoid a no-execution. Obviously I am aiming to vote out scum - this is a very uncharitable reading.

This is good logic, I'm still pretty new and trying to figure out the strategies and whatnot. I think I'm falling into the trap of waiting for slam dunk arguments or way more information than can be provided on day 1 before I vote for people.

I'm at work right now and I shouldn't be texting, but I have been thinking about this game.

First thought:

Why has it been presumed, in relation to my "rolefishing" post being scummy, that scum would be unconcerned with redirection themselves? The common understanding of thread appears to be that scum would want to kill players *without* redirection abilities. But that is far from self-evident to me. I'd like to find/quote who made this assumption the most, but I'm too busy for that.

Sure I’d do wins, basically a lurker elimination. I feel bad killing keats because I just killed him in another game. I also think the votes have come upon him p quickly and I don’t particularly think he’s scummy? I guess if it’s Keats or someone I’m more townreading at EoD I’d vote to prevent NL.

2nd, warning: this is a point in my defense (ie it holds barely any weight coming from me), but it is also important in looking at responses to my "rolefishing".

Look at what I actually said in that post that a number of people, notably Infi and Taste (and wins? Is he in this game?), jumped on... It was not just roles I was talking about. I was asking about flavor. And I specifically asked for a scenario I find unlikely. It was clear from context that the post was about confirming a theory about flavor more than anything.

So why has it become a matter of rolefishing? I want to look back on who made it that and who ran with it without paying attention to the context.

Anyway I'll round out the full-claim of my role since I ended up having to say a lot about it anyway. And maybe we can coordinate, who knows.

Basically my role affects the order of action resolutions in the night when I successfully use it.

First, it is implied that my role activates at position 0.
Second, the player I target will have their ability activate as position 1. This is stated to be before any other actions "except this one".

It is also stated that this protects my target from redirects OR blocks.
