Hello yes I heard there was a lovely trainwreck here and...

Rhymes With Clue posted:

I keep looking at this and I have questions. Why, for instance, is this query directed to someone Cube hasn't played with before? What if 50 had been playing and had answered it? It sure seemed like more than a getting-to-know-you kind of question. And there is something about the stilted diction that bugged me although possibly that's just Cube doing an RP thing.

Also Cube posed this question an hour after the game had started. I don't know, when I'm scum I sure haven't decided who to kill at night at that point in the game. It seems like when I've been scum we haven't even talked about it in scumchat until much later in the day so it's not just me.

So the question, the player it was directed to, and the timing all give me questions about Cube's motivation. So it was not just a question but apparently meant to signal something. Cube then posed the same questiion to 50's replacement, Iggy, who answered it.

As a question to signal something, I missed it. Others picked it up. A doc or doc-adjacent claim? Who makes those? (Not sure what "doc-adjacent" is anyway.) There is no percentage in claiming doc at this point in the game, or at any point IMO. Why be so obvious (yeah okay I said it wasn't obvious to me but let's ignore that for now). Why not just play the cop/doc/vig game here if you want info?

I'm rambling, I guess, but this along with many of Cube's other posts is just bugging me. It's really making me want to vote Cube.

Mostly what I picked up on is that Cube didn't want it to be treated as just a how do you do cop/mason/vig question, he said it was 'of grave importance' to know who I'd consider nightkilling which, what's the point of stressing that if your power doesn't stop or hinder the night kill somehow? But I could see this being misdirection to focus on the unknown-turned-replacement player while also making it so people believe he's town-positive without having to actually claim anything more exactly or provable. It'd be a good play.

You get on your horse. You produce a donkey (from where no-one is sure) and forcefully sit Cube down on it. Together you sally forth and raise your lances against any windmill you come across. Cube is shaking with fear the whole time, as you seem intent on sticking it to those windmills, and besides, the donkey is a bumpy ride.

Nothing happens.

And then the Wol thing. And then beet not shooting. I might be missing something as well.

I was thinking of Josef sounding like he was claiming he could copy whoever sung the best for him. The latter part is baloney (I'm sure salad's got better things to do IRL than admin a singing contest for a game on the Internet) but I could believe the copier claim. I forgot about Yami's action, that's 2 for 4 actions delivered on then.

He might do that anyway.

So what do y'all think about performing something operatic for Stalin?

I had a stroke of inspiration. There IS something operatic I could do. It's not really musical, unless you count percussion as music. The costume is kind of a problem though. I'll have to think about it. Like, is the costume really necessary? It seems kind of integral, but maybe not. It sure wouldn't be my "opera voice" cuz I don't have one.

Topic change. I was thinking about favorite operas but maybe not everyone likes operas.

Instead, what about favorite colors? Can be hard to choose I suppose, so feel free to go top three.

Re: Shwinn, I still feel like they're oddly reserved.

I felt like they were dancing around my cube case earlier, then just quickly discredited my case and moved on hoping to avoid drawing more attention (aka scum behavior)

Like I said at the time, I felt like they were deliberately avoiding certain topics which, again, I don't feel fits shwinns usual aggro style at all.

While shwinn did eventually vote cube briefly it was for no content related reasons, just a single post and quickly walked back on for an egalz vote.

Would also vote here I think.

On Keats:

I'm not sure if I trust the miller claim.

Keat seems to have done the normal miller thing (tm) of claiming it immediately, but then did... gently caress all with it.

Including using it as an excuse for lurking:

Johnny Keats posted:

I'm just a silly miller

I know Keats as a pretty aggro player, so this seriously sticks out to me. Does anybody know keats scum meta? Is keats more lurky as scum?

Johnny Keats posted:

Yeah, I think the context of how and when you are claiming this in relation to the timing of things in another game that I'm not certain people will be comfortable w me going into because it draws conclusions based on your *alignment* in that game, but it will certainly be annoying to not mention if I do end up thinking you are scum and need to argue that you'd falsely claim doc this time.

And ofc there's the whole shebang around cube. I seriously do not like that bit. It reads basically hand-crafted to throw shade at cube while avoiding actually giving a statement one way or another.

Additionally, just like shwinn they vote cube for seemingly non content reasons:

Johnny Keats posted:

However, because I can imagine feasible scenarios where Cube is lying this time, and discussing the nuance would be too confusing in vague terms, I'm going to ignore that Cube claimed doc.

Not much else to say on Cube, except that I don't think his content improved whatsoever.

As far as I can tell, Cube has done 0 scumhunting all day. No, I'm not going to call him poking beet about the vig repeatedly scumhunting. It's just not.

Between this and people such as Johnny and Shwinn just acting really goddamn weird around Cube I really just want their flip.
