Just to clarify.

You are a messenger? (Able to send out of thread communications to selected targets.)
And you sent a message to yuming and Keats so far?

I'm assuming if you were making masonries there'd be no need for the coded messages.

Well, outside of being a case study on why coded messages are frequently not permitted, which I don't think we need to keep going over(At the very least it isn't helpful for us and it's cruel to mods if nothing else) I think there IS some useful information to be had in people's reactions here. People staying out of it entirely with a history of being quiet in general (Hal) raises my suspicions a little bit, as does someone who just keeps asking people to make hard claims(Keats).

Spork's reactions to things have read as very Town to me, at this stage at least, and I think it pretty likely yuming and nutsack are town as well, given that 'scum messenger' would be a wild role to have. Not impossible, sure, but I don't think it's likely, just like I don't think scum seer is particularly likely after that was explained to me.

Cube outing what was a largely uneventful message feels off to me. Sure the information itself is kinda nothing, but it does go a long way to confirming town status on those involved, which I've always felt does more to benefit scum in some ways. Once someone is confirmed townie, they're a very safe night target that doesn't get us any information. This isn't enough to be suspect on its own but with everything else, I'm definitely starting to see a case for Cube.

I'm interested in voting cube first and foremost, then keats, then spork as a distant third at this point. I really think we ought to kill cube as the claimed killing role detected by the eccosmith.

I'm always open to voting opop just because their unhelpful town play and their scum play are indistinguishable. I could maybe be talked into TM/Hal/Nutsack if we really must but I don't think it's a good idea.

I'm not open to voting yuming, illu, or sand today.

If town wanted to use everything at our disposal, we would persistently insist everybody post their own full role claims in some more robust cypher for later confirmation, in threat of voting them out. And every single member of town would be on bard with that plan because it would be the best thing for town to do. We would also be encrypting messages in images or other places where you can't even see that something is encoded, in the hopes that an investigative townie finds your message. Etc etc

Unfortunately, there is this out-of-game element at play where I do not want those sorts of things to be a part of the mafia games I play, so I will not contribute to it

To elaborate on this, not only did cube claim a killing role after the eccosmith result was claimed, but also tried to act like my obvious joke role was a killing role to further invalidate the result. Sandwolf would absolutely not have targeted me for the smith if they believed by joke claim.

I first revealed "hey that thing you might still sillily think is secure is NOT" (and used coded words Successful and Response).

Then it seemed Yuming still had doubts and I wasn't interested in going back and forth a dozen times, so I did the whole thing. Which doesn't seem to have leaked TOO much info, and scum could've had this already.

I did hesitate a little bit because like, Keats and JS and (other scum members) in Previously On were also pretty hesitant to do any outside-the-game work.

I think it's a little strange that Yuming and Space are linked, Space claimed to message Keats, and Keats claimed to have attempted to visit Yuming.

That could either be a triangle of coincidence or maybe SB's message had extra detail / suggestion.

It helps explain Keats' earlier scumread on SB, I suppose. Hmm.

Also scum messengers are a thing here, so I would caution against town reading Nutsack just based on that. However I do think it makes Nutsack and Yuming pretty unlikely to be scum together.

Out of the gunsmith trio I'm still happiest to vote Cube, the code breaking doesn't really change anything for me.

I'm certain that I have the ability to kill someone (once that activates). So that means Sand's results (if Sand is town) are effectively null.

FoS could be a scum tracker, sure, but that breadcrumb was good and I don't think eliminating an info-role is useful right now.

I'm not sure about Keats right now. What do you imagine did last night? Allegedly visited yuming, might have given them a thing, yuming doesn't know about it. Could be an empowerer, a one-shot refiller, a BP-giver, probably a ton of other things I'm not thinking about.

Their fit over the encoding nonsense is probably either whitenoise townie OR actively meant to divert from other conversation. I haven't gone back to review which conversation(s) got stifled due to the code nonsense.

I'm effectively VT now unless there's a town redirector or a town nightvig that wants to waste a shot on me.

I'm not sure I actually believe Sand's claim, but same argument as FoS around why test it.

Cube has been off this game:
* His late D1 placeholder vote on Hal.
* The series of posts he made after coming back to the thread on D1 before the deadline. Cube got multiple people mixed up in those posts, such that he voted the wong person at least once.
* Calling my town read on Hal a town-clear (I think it was Cube who did this, but I could be misremebering this point.)
* Cubes stated belief in FoS's joke claim of bulletproof doc/seer.
* His claim. As others have said it feels designed to prevent suspucion.

* Lesser point but Opop has claimed to have protected me last night, and there was no kill. I wasn't the only one casting suspicion on Cube, but I was one of the loudest at EoD1.

I do actually agree with yuming that Cube in this game doesn't resemble his recent scum game in Hatoful mafia (and she should know, they were scum together in that game). But this also doesn't resemble the town Cube I saw Tarot mafia. I think someone rolled scum twice in a row and tried to switch things up.

Yeah I guess I'm less on Spork after review.
