I basically just use this and my insta but only for posting art yup. i did similar a few years ago - basically carved all the algorithmic post feeds out of my life that i could, and felt similar mental health gains. pretty much the only algorithm i see now is youtube and i've basically beaten the youtube algorithm into submission so it only shows me fishing, art, weird metal and guitar music, and let's plays that get like 10 viewers (which i almost universally ignore but i don't take them off my feed because i wish them all the best).

I ended up having to wipe my watch history and start over. it had gotten polluted with a bunch of kids stuff. then was hyper aggressive about, do not show me stuff like this, when the algo keep trying to feed me bait. now it's just art, diy, lego and some indie gaming stuff

i try twitter every so often but end up deleting before the year's up, and since deleting right after the Musk takeover ive not had an inclination to come back for more. never was on the zuck network. now tumblr... they'll give up on me before i give up on them
