brussels is ordering musk to turn over the algorithm for x/twitter not surprising, as musk isn't even trying to be discreet about platforming and boosting far-right parties like afd

well he shouldn't have a problem with that, he has promised to make the algorithm open source.

from there i read this FT article, "Elon Musk's Twitter backers gain windfall from xAI deal", which to me sounds like the very same people who invested in twitter are "gaining a windfall" by doubling down on elon and investing in xAI, somehow? like, the article basically talks about the potential for that to make them whole, eventually, maybe. it's an old article and i think i remember discussing it in the old musk thread, but whatever anyway, i made the mistake of reading the comments — there are a ton of elon dickriders in there, but i lol'd at this, which was in response to someone saying that they didn't know how this would work either because xAI is so far behind its competitors. that led to people defending grok's honor, of course tl;dr grok having the most hallucinations out of any model is actually good, so good that they use it for financial advice (but when called on it, they of course move the goalposts to "just seeing what it says!"): ![]() quote:I use it too for the same reasons. It extrapolates/hallucinates and summarises financial opinions in quite creative ways. lol, of course these guys love elon. the bullshit machine is quite creative in its bullshittery

Roosevelt posted:look out elon, here comes honda with its own stupid ugly piece of poo poo lol the rear looks like it says "Hands" (or "Hengs", i guess). i'm sure that's due to the resolution and lovely chroma though, it's probably fine irl the front kinda looks like a lambo, and in from the front profile it's honestly not terrible. that rear end absolutely ruins it though imo well, that and the yoke. idk why other companies (especially established companies like honda and toyota) continue to copy that particularly stupid loving idea, iirc even tesla doesn't offer it as a default anymore because they kept selling out of the makeshift regular steering wheel (which again iirc was missing some controls) they offered as an aftermarket part e: this isn't about those prototypes, i clicked on the article about the prologue because i completely forgot what it looks like (a boring-rear end generic SUV). but lmao'd at this: quote:The Prologue’s Sport button, located somewhat inconveniently to the left of the steering wheel, may be a GM button but the outcome is programmed by Honda. Interestingly, the car uses a passive damping system and there is actually no physical transformation that makes the car feel more grounded and quicker when Sport mode is activated. huh yeah. maybe if you're a toddler??
