I wish I could find it, but there was an American guy in the Vietnam War running a pirate station and in between songs he once proclaimed "Lifers are like flies... they eat poo poo... and bother people."

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed

Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost

Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich

That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Shortwave Radio is one way, but you have a limited audience.

MySpace is the new hotness.

Listen pal, without my direct involvement, that Belgian journalist would have been up to his ankles in shit on multiple occasions.

"Doesn't sound too bad"?
Buddy, he'd be doing a hand-stand.

Hell yeah they do

COWABUNGA DUDES!

There’s a dude in Miami who keeps getting busted and refuses to stop, so they’ve arrested him and want a few million off him. https://rbr.com/a-unique-fm-pirate-ends-up-in-miamis-most-infamous-jail/

I saw a bust of a station on AM in Philly I think it was this morning.

These days I hear you’re likely to get busted if you do one of two things:

1. Broadcast over someone’s legitimate feed, and they find out because someone contacts them and they in turn contact the FCC. This might be because you’re dumb and broadcasting on a used channel, or because your gear is kinda lovely and kicking out spurs on other frequencies.

2. You get found out by a dweeb who’s actively scanning for stuff and reporting things without licenses.

I have a crappy Chinese transmitter in my house, I can pick it up around a block or so radius. I have like zero choice where to transmit at because the FM band is still stupid congested here, and there’s a station every .4 on the dial without fail.

All I do is broadcast my collection of stuff like Howard Stern, Loveline, Coast to Coast etc in chronological order because I think that’s kinda fun.

This is an incredible TV show, Trailer Park Boys refined. Five seasons, perfect run. Even the movie is a beautiful little send-off to the characters, though I would love to see them pop up in something else again.

Just fart into a microphone connected to a loudspeaker on the top of your van, that's how we used to do it.

If you don't have a driver, well, get more friends.

Thinking about joining the FCC Enforcement Bureau. Sounds like a fun job!
