Had someone recommend to me just searching youtube for things like "IMG 0372", where that number can be just about anything. It results in dozens of unviewed or barely viewed videos. Videos the algorithm has no interest in, that don't describe themselves, and may not have been intentionally uploaded. Videos that have been up there for years without anyone taking any interest because anyone who would be interested couldn't have searched for it, and it's often completely mundane. You never know what you'll find and a lot of it is very human. You might find: amateur performances, a 5 second clip of the scenery from a hiking trail, or an old man reading birthday cards. oh gently caress yeah, i remember a thread like this years ago (i think they called it like "defaulting" or something), it's seriously astounding the poo poo you can find. within five minutes of typing random numbers into youtube just now i found this older lady silently shaking her rear end at the camera on a conrete floor in a way that i can only describe as haunting most of her other videos are 3 seconds long. i don't know why

That site is addicting! It actually bothers me how YouTube's algorithm keeps recommending the same 3 videos over and over when I know there's so much stuff that never gets seen. I bet if you graphed all the videos by view count it would look like one of those pyramid scheme salary charts with a vertical line on one side. I never found the skit, and back then there were no other videos with this name. Just these weird vids of a certain colour and a constant tone. It continues to weird the gently caress out of me to this day. I think it may have just been an art project or something, where you create strange harmonics by having multiple videos playing at once, but who knows. I mean it feels like there are hundreds of them there.
